I don't understand why brands think Americans still want 3 teaspoons of sugar with their half-cup serving of oatmeal. This is 26% sugar by weight. Besides the obvious health issues, it would taste just as good (or better) with half as much sugar and a little more spice or flavoring. If you're adding 3 teaspoons of sugar to your oatmeal, you might as well just eat Frosted Flakes. There are also plenty of cereals (and oatmeals) out there with 2x-4x as much total fiber and soluble fiber. I don't see why anyone would choose steel cut oats like these, deal with the longer cooking time, when there's no added health benefit. The product overall is less healthy than a lot of instant oatmeal varieties.
Sugar listed before cranberries and blueberries. I'm out.
I tried these and found them really gross. Just way too sweet. I threw out what I got.

I bought 4 boxes for 7.18 with the extra 5% off with 4 items and max S&S.
I just recently went back in the office and I'm having a really difficult time managing my mornings and more often than not leave without eating. These will be great to keep at my desk.

Much different between steel cut and old fashioned oats? Usually I buy the 10 pound box of old fashioned oats from costco

Because most never learned proper nutrition and also never learned self control with eating. But a side note, mix one packet of this with 1 cup of non sweetened oats and you can feed 3 kids pretty easy.

I'm guessing you could lower calories by just using plain oats and then mixing in frozen/fresh berries

My daily breakfast/ treat is a mix of protein powder, a packet of no sugar added or plain oats, 40 grams each of Kodiak pancake mix and krusteaz mix. Which I make into about 5-6 waffles. A bit high in carbs but good amount of protein and fiber. Only issue is amount of sodium from krusteaz mix. But I can use the mix with water and don't have to deal with the hassle of using eggs

I use raisins or dried cranberries for overnight oatmeal. Yum.

I wonder if schools still/ever(?) teach kids how to read nutrition labels on foods.
