Unless you already have a compatible battery and charger, then you should probably just skip "tool only" deals as it's not really a deal if you need to buy more stuff. But for those who are already invested in the tool system and have the batteries and chargers (often too many of each), "tool only" deals can be a great way to expand their tool collections without the expense of having to buy even more batteries and chargers.

I hate to see product like this that says "tools only" coz i need to do some research which & what the compatible batteries & sometimes you cannot find one or even hard to find it, I don't know maybe only me? Lol

The HP version of the jigsaw is on sale for $79. Previous hack of the batteries would have been $75. Also if you want the nonHP version of jigsaw, you can get it for $59 along with some free blades.

I have it. I really like it and t's useful for a lot of things, but I also have a bigger corded circular saw for the things it can't do. I'd pick it up at this price, I'm actually grabbing one of these sets for my dad. I have both of these tools and neither is great, but both are useful.

We also both have a ton of Ryobi batteries.

That Ryobi circular saw sucks! Got one from the Goodwill and it barely cuts anything. Threw it in my tool hoarding box.

Now my Ridgid 18v 7 1/4 circular saw has been a beast!

Here's how to find out. Add the item to your cart. If it shows with a separate price for each then it is 1. hackable and 2. that means one item could be returned.

For good reason. I've had both of these tools. Still have the jigsaw but the circular saw I sold and upgraded to a different brand. It's very underpowered, bogs down easy making it tough to cut anything.

That 5 1/2" saw is just too small to really cut through wood well. Get a bigger one instead.

It's big enough to cut through a 2x4 and sheet goods, which I imagine are 95% of what people cut with a circular saw.

And if you learn to cut straight, max POWER becomes much less of an issue.
