Not sure what your question is exactly. The USB-C to MagSafe cable and power adapter are always included and do not have to be bought separately.

After $100 education discount and $150 Apple gift card, effective price

Great deal on a newly launched Mac!

You're talking to many people who will line up down streets during an EF4 tornado to buy incrementally different devices compared to what they overpaid for a year or two ago. It's a corporate cult.

I started using Macs before many of these people were even born because they allowed me to get stuff done. And were repairable. And lasted many years, and supported for most of that time. Tim Cook's Apple is no longer that. Apple is no longer for the rest of us. It is for Wall Street, full stop.
The hardware *is* fantastic. As a life-long Windows user, nothing has touched the M series chips in terms of performance per watt. Pretty much every comparable Windows machine either has a poor screen (or a matte screen which I hate) or bad battery life / build quality.

That said, I hate MacOS with a passion.

I just buy it used -- Picked up an M1 Pro 14 for $1200 with AC+ 2 weeks ago (used). No way would I have paid the $2000 MSRP for it.

We won't know until iFixit, Macworld, and/or others dissect one and report their findings.

We aren't here to debate PC vs Mac price/specs. Is this a slick deal for the Apple product being offered is the question?

The base Air has mostly been recently the same thing as a Mac Mini in a laptop.

Which Digital Trends says to avoid. 'Nuff said.

https://www.digitaltrends.com/com...ing-guide/

Until reviewers tear it down and see what's in it, we must presume the base Air will be afflicted the same way as its predecessor: "Similar to the MacBook Air M2, Apple went cheap on the SSD for the 256GB [Mini]. It uses a single NAND chip for storage, resulting in up to 50% slower SSD performance. The MacBook Pro M2 Pro has this same issue, which is a big reason why reviewers are saying to avoid the 256GB model."

But Tim Apple fanboys will be fanboys.
thought we were talking about ram? lol. seems like someone doesn't know their computer components. and that 50% decrease in ssd speed isn't even noticeable to 99% of users, but I'm sure you wouldn't understand.

I get that the size and weight of the air will be a great advantage. But what Have we seen the M1 16" pro model sell for recently. Seems like there are some good deals on it and it should be more powerful. I think I would rather have that.
Two different use cases, the 16" is also much bulkier and heavier.

That guy has nothing better to do than troll in Apple threads and claims to use Apple products. It's hilarious.

are 16" Macbook Pros eligible for the gift card offer? I am not seeing it there.
