Uber eats never stopped showing up at their door 2-3 times a day the whole 2.5 years they lived there. Literally up until they day they shoved as much as they could into a truck and took off.
Now I guess I will move it to next year
Whenever possible, always call the restaurant to order. Used GH+ 2x only when they have a 20off promo or such.
Many are same company, ie UberEATS owns Postmates
Grub Hub has a class action lawsuit against them for several deceptive practices.

Door Dash was hit with its own class action lawsuit for charging iPhone users more than Android users, and then tacking on an 'extended range fee" to subscribers of Dash Pass, essentially giving no benefits to the $10 a month premium service with the $0 delivery fee.

I mean if you're drunk or high and want to eat, yes, pay the premium and be safe! But if you have a car and can drive, use it to pick up your own food.
Or just don't be dumb. I've never been 'deceived' by the grubhub service fee because when I first saw it I tapped on the information icon and read what it was. I also have never been charged an 'extended service fee' from doordash because if they did try to charge me that, I would've canceled the order. What are people doing here, just mashing their phone with their palms and waiting for their food to arrive without checking the total?
Picking up my food is not an option when most restaurants in my area are 20+ min round trip. I'm happy to pay extra for the convenience of being able to do other stuff like putting my kid to bed while it's being prepared and delivered to my doorstep. That $10+ is more than worth it and the restaurant and delivery driver are getting money that they wouldn't have gotten if the service didn't exist as I would be far less likely to order out.

Sometimes with coupons, discounts on grubhub gift cards, and the $10 amex monthly grubhub reward, it can be cheaper than going to the store. I get $20 in monthly credits from my Amex cards. I was able to go to a meat market on grubhub and pickup 3lbs of beef bacon for $9. It would have cost me about $27 at the supermarket (I also had a $10 groupon discount for a recent late delivery). I'm just saying if you use a little discipline, it can benefit you.
