Motorola's software update policy is atrocious. The policy for Samsung's low end phones is even better than Motorola. What is the case for this one?

Yes and no, I keep them for a few years than sell them.

So is this device flashed with specific Boost software or is it the unlocked software, just SIM-locked to Boost? Boost's network should fully support T-Mobile and AT&T since they are roaming partners. I'm not sure about Verizon.

I have the annual AT&T prepaid plan ($300/year) on the main AT&T network, not a 3rd party provider.

Does anyone know if I can buy this phone with the plan but wait to activate the plan until August (when my 1 year plan expires)?

Or alternatively, since Boost runs on AT&T network, would this be easily used on AT&T prepaid or does it need to be unlocked first?

TIA

Cool hack but the site never redirects me. I'd like to buy the phone, get the 12.50 plan. Unlock and cancel.

I think with all these companies that run on ATT or Tmobile network. Their phone is locked to any carrier beside themself. You can use ATT phone with Boost sim, but you can't use boost phone with ATT sim. I bought the Edge+ 2022. It asked for PIN code when I inserted in the ATT sim.

I have the Edge plus 2022 from boost mobile. I unlocked with Ebay: desbloquealord ($3), now on T-mobile. Also visual voice mail on Phone by Google (default) doesn't seem to work, I have to download T-mobile visual voice mail app. Software channel still says DISH WIRELESS. Idk if that's the issue. Basically I've been trying to solve visual voice mail and the software channel, maybe I'm nitpicking... Any suggestion would be great on chasing those 2?

Everything else works well, just lack of security update vs. my G stylus 5G (unlocked after 6 months from metro, already 2 security updates since Feb.) I'm unsure if it's the software channel or something else....

Thanks for the info. I almost bought this phone. I have the pixel 6a currently and looks like that's also high on the SAR rating. Maybe I'll go with a samsung. nod

I don't like curbed edge as it is easy to break the screen. While it might look good but it would not last long...
