Solidigm is as a standalone U.S. subsidiary of SK hynix Inc so would say yeah. Its rebranded SK Hynix Platinum P41

Version with heatsink is $150 and it 100% works on PS5. I'm currently running this in my PS5.

Yeah, but Newegg. I think it is with the $25 to avoid them.

This is attractive. However, I do have a question, I use "Acronis True Image for Western Digital" to backup my system. If I go with Solidigm, do you have any recommendation on similar software? A copy of Acronis True Image costs way more than the difference between these two drives.

Is it better to buy separate heatsink?

I thought WD comes with pre attached heatsink which is one less installation

That's kinda what I'm hoping for. Not necessarily Black Friday, but that's the best time to look for PC things. I keep getting tempted by these falling prices but I don't need the space yet.

Macrium Reflect is p good, but the free version will stop getting updates starting next year (but will presumably continue to work barring any OS breaking bugs).
