By far the lowest price I have found for the Voice Caddie SC300 launch monitor. Reviews seem pretty consistent about accuracy beyond the Occasional misread/missed shot and the apex height appears to be questionable. Hoping to bring to the range to improve my golf game

You obviously don't play golf lol
Only measures to 370 yards pfff
That's an odd way to look at it. I want to be at least competitive in anything I play (certainly not poor enough to be a hinderance or distraction to others).

Could be golf. Could be pickleball. Could be soccer. Anything really

I always thought golf was a just reason to get out the house and drink beer with your buddies. Although impressive, who cares how good your shot is when you're drunk?!

Seriously!?

I have owned this unit for 2 years. it is awesome. Very accurate and the app is great too, I am a junkie for these types of units and always looking for the best value. I bought this for $350 and was thrilled. At $179 its a steal. The only negative is that it doesn't measure swing speed by itself so you can't really use it for speed training. PRGR is great for that (which I also own).

Does it yell "GET IN THE HOLE!"?
Not quite but when you hit a club longer than any previous shot it applauds and screams for you. Smilie, seriously it does

This is an absolute steal. I have the SC300i but the app is kinda pointless so I would be just as happy with this.

I also have the R10. At the range, this one seems slightly more accurate than R10 in terms of carry (using the actual distance markers as the reference). R10 seems to overcompensate the distance when the ball has side spins, which is one of my unwanted specialties.

What do you mean by it not measuring swing speed by itself?

Thumbs down! Doesn't read greens or measure below 20 yards.

Who's going to help me with my short game!?

There's a Meeseeks box for that. I don't recommend the Kirkland brand one though.

I care because I don't have 6 hours to play a round of golf and I'm not gonna be "that guy." I bet you hear fooooore behind you a lot.

Will it tell you how far left or right your shot went?

Nope. No launch angle either. If it's like the SC300i then it may calculate the spin #. You have to manually input the loft of the club you are putting in and it guesstimates your launch angle off of that and then measures the ball speed to calculate the distance. I've owned both the SC300i and the SC200+. Kind of fun to just mash clubs to see how far you can hit it but I ended up returning/selling both units.

Does anyone know if this thing works hitting balls into a net? Do you need to bring it to a range?

I got the R10 when it last popped up on Slickdeals. Of course it's still in the box lol. Curious what you'd pick if you could only have one of the units.

There are many positive benefits to golf...

https://golfpadgps.com/news/team-...-employees

I live in what I call a concrete jungle. Being able to get out and enjoy the large oaks and beautiful lakes a few times a month provides some level of relief from the daily grind. When you have an early tee time and the sun, temp and breeze hit just right around 10am, it makes for a perfect day. Usually my score is sh$t but the good drives, approach shots and 2-3 nice puts make for a overall good outing.

btw, drunk on the golf course is frowned upon. Get where you want to be then switch to light/ultralight and stay hydrated. Most people are borderline dehydrated and a little sun/drink gets to them over a 4-5hr period.
