I can't recall which thread on Milwaukee batteries I read this on, but someone once said (and got a lot of confirmation from others) that the "smoking hot, you better buy it" price point on batteries (M18 at least) was $10 per Ah. Meaning, they have (rarely) sold at that price point, so that should be your rule of thumb. I have a ton of Milwaukee tools and batteries (many thanks to Slickdeals). I don't want to buy more than I need (in case my wife reads this), but I am a sucker for a good buy. I now use that rule because it's so quick to reference. For instance, here... 6 x 6.0Ah => 36Ah => $360.

So, I will pass on this one because it doesn't come close enough to the holy grail price. I'm not going to up-vote it, but I won't down-vote that price either. Now, if you needed these, you might decide that the $529/36Ah => $14.69 is close enough. But, I love having a quick reference index for me to know when to pull the trigger (put my impulse control under wraps). Just thought that might help some others that may not have seen that other post. If I ever do any posts for batteries, I will make sure to add the "Index" value (14.69 here, 10 is the magic number) with an explanation. But, I never seem to catch these before someone else does, so thank you to all who post!

They ran a deal a few weeks ago of 4 packs for $300 or $75 per pack. I *almost* jumped on that one but I really don't need that many 6ah HOs.

Right and wrong, the $10 per ah don't really apply to the "high output" and like dewalt flex voltage. Its like $12 per ah for high out i would say , $10 for normal ones

Yeah, to find the $10 magic number (that didn't appear to be a pricing error) you have to go back to November 2020. There were several pairings of the 12.0ah with the 8.0ah for $200 (once less). But if I ever see it again... :-)
