I got this deal back in April. I'm not a Verizon customer. First store I went to they claimed I have to be a Verizon customer to get the deal and they just flat out refused to ring it up for me. Went to another Verizon store next town over, they rung it up for me no problem, didn't even ask if I was an existing Verizon customer.
So YMMV.

Don't think it works that way for Playstation unfortunately. I thought about this and online there's plenty of reports that it can't be used for Hardware. I also tried to see what happens when you a PS5 to checkout and there's no gift card option.

Wow. That's a good deal.

I paid $500 w/o tax for just the disc console itself. I was using pc, but I got the console for my wife, and now I'm playing on her console 😅

We use the basic psn essential plan. Neither of us are fans of the premium ones. I do miss the days of free psn on the PS3.

I remember buying an uncharted bundle for ps4 after waiting like 4 years for a good enough price level. Mainly wanted it for mlb the show at the time. I ended up returning it for a ps4 pro which wasn't that much more expensive. Other than uncharted and last of us there aren't many PS exclusives I'm super in to. So I'm still waiting for ps5. I have enough gaming options with xbox game pass ultimate which I stream gamesoff my phone even rough I have an unopened series X since last July which I've been lazy to set up and lack of space on tv stand.

Are they PS Store GCs? Because unlike on Xbox, those can't be used on PS Direct, which is a different store where they sell hardware.

Wish I waited for this instead of paying full price for the Horizon Forbidden West bundle, now that the game is included on PS Plus. Which suggests GOW Ragnarok will also be included on PS Plus in November at the one year mark, same as Horizon Forbidden West.

I walked into the store yesterday and asked for one. The guy asked if I had an account with Verizon and I said no. He said, ok, no problem and went and got me the ps5. I had earlier called the same store to ask if the deal was available for non-Verizon people and they had told me no.
