Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.

Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.

You cannot buyout Tesla leases, not that you would want to after you experience the shoddy workmanship of those things.

Good luck finding a (working) charger that supports 800v. Not a Tesla fanboy, but the charging network outside of Tesla is meh. (I own a model 3 and a ccs converter)
We have two of these in my family, I can tell you that Electrify America has been very reliable along the major highways and that's been supplemented by slower ChargePoint solutions that allow you to top off when you're out some place eating. Plus, you can install one in your home and charge overnight.

Since getting the EVs we also added Solar to the house, we now have no electric bill beyond the cost of the panels, and we don't pay for Gas. I've taken the car more than 500 miles during a holiday weekend and had no issues finding a charger (increased holiday traffic meant I did have to wait about 30 minutes for the charger to become available).

Honestly, I personally love the car and have no complaints about any such limitations.

Oh and I could make it from Tampa to Tallahassee on a single charge with miles to spare.

Strange, my best friend has a long range Model Y and drives from the Bay Area to LA to visit his family almost once a month and he makes it sound so easy. He leaves around 8am, makes a stop somewhere there is a super charger to eat an early lunch (usually 45min) and then continues the drive with it charged back up to 80-90%.
It makes sense to take a lunch or coffee stop and charge up your Tesla. They have so many Charging stations all along the major freeways. A friend paid an extra $10K for Long Range so he could make it all the way from L.A. to Las Vegas, and he only goes 2 times in year. I would rather save that money and just make a stop at any of the 10+ spots along the Fwy 15.

Lol what is this nonsense. ..

I have a 2019 Ioniq and it's awesome. Looking at these new models
I agree, I had an 2022 Ioniq 5 SEL that I sold in early January when Driveway offered almost full list price (after i got the 7500 for 202 since i bought in Feb 2 -I bought it originally with zero mark-up). Also no sales tax in NJ on EV. Was literally going to get a VW ID.4 and the same day Tesla lowered prices 15K, which also qualified for NJ rebate and they had reasonable lease terms. So I figured lets try Tesla Y LR.

Anyhow, Ioniq 5 is a great car in some ways adaptive cruise etc is better than Tesla (which has been surprisingly unrefined) but Tesla sort of suits my overall aesthetic better and drives great (not that Ioniq isnt great, it is just different and got tons of compliments).

On Charging, when Electrify America works, i got easily 125kwh and on a 350KwH charger up to 250kwh for sustained periods. I have never gotten more than 150kwh on the Tesal at a supercharger for a very brief time, or at a Electrify America. I fool the tesla by navigating to a supercharger so it starts to pre-condition the battery, but drive to EA (i got an adapter, oddly my 3 year free charging at EA that came with the Ioniq 5 works on the Tesla, getting comments from non-Tesla drivers to leave EA and go to my own chargers).

The Ioniq 5 is > Tesla on real world charge time, most driving assistance (including lane changing included). Tesla > Ioniq on "luxury feel" driving handling, 10% better range. I wouldn't have sold the Ioniq if it wasnt the crazy offer from Driveway, but the Tesla has exceeded my expectations where i care most except charging speed and oddly self driving ability.

It may be my imagination, but it seems that other drivers do take out anger and other issues on Teslas that are on the road.

One more point, anyone in the NYC area yesterday would appreciate what i thought was a joke in the Tesla, the Biohazard mode.

I have both a Tesla and an ioniq 5 and prefer the Ioniq 5 overall. It's a much smoother ride, the build quality is significantly better, and it charges alot faster. Tesla software and tech is leagues better, though. The Hyundai app is complete doodoo.
I'm not sure Bluelink is Hyundai exclusive but it can be annoying at times.

You could make that trip on a single 100% charge with the base ioniq 5.

Anyone recently check this for Volvo XC90 PHEV? I need a 3 row SUV and tired of waiting for EX90 , which is delayed now.

I thought it was Hyundai's for some reason, but it seriously sucks. Takes forever to do remote stuff and locate the vehicle and it doesn't charge when scheduled to an annoying amount.

That all being said, another pro ioniq thing is that it actually seems to get the 300 miles of range it promises, unlike my Tesla. I don't have different driving habits between the two, but I onlyget like 70% of the stated range on my Tesla.

Until the EV6 GT Line twin engine grabs you by the seat of your pants with the instant torque and the Hellcat can never catch up because of the launch control and instant Torque.

Oh and the model 3 is even faster than both of these.

Yeah, it's cool if you have nothing else, but isn't perfect that's for sure. 😂

This car is trouble.

When regenerative breaking is applied, the rear break lights don't turn on and there fore higher chance for rear end collision. Imagine you're going 60 and let your gass padel off, within few hundred feet the car will come to stop. Imagine whole time it was slowing down, rear break lights didn't turn on making next vehicle hit you.
