Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.

Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.

You cannot buyout Tesla leases, not that you would want to after you experience the shoddy workmanship of those things.

As an owner of an Ioniq 5 Limited, I will say I love the car, but Hyundai's customer service sucks.

Also I'd go for at least and SEL, the SE is so bare bones you are going to regret missing so many features.
What kind of irritates me is that I don't care about the sunroof, but since a lot of the other features I want are Limited-only, I expect I'm going to end up paying for it anyway.

What's the difference between base model and ultra base model? Is this an imaginary model?
There were COUPLE of reports from Canada (I don't remember seeing ANY report of this model in US) where SUPER base model was sent to Canada as "Compliance" model to hit the base price to establish rebate amount (Apparently, in Canada, they base the rebate amount depending on STARTING price of basic model), I think someone mentioned "10" of these which were supposed to be used as just test drive models and not for resale really. These cars actually were missing DC fast charge port thus could not be charged at any of the fast charge locations.
Looks like some dealers sold these cars to customers and they were baffled when they went to charge at a DC fast charge station and found the charge port hard capped off.
Standard version in US has 54KWhr battery instead of usual 77KWhr battery but it does have DC fast charge port.

Thats odd. I've never seen that before. Car manufacturers bundling items in different trim levels to try to get more $$$ out of you? Crazy!

Heh. I'm just assuming (possibly incorrectly) that sunroofs are expensive, and I really just care about the safety features.

Why do they make it so hard to do a nationwide search? All the websites want you to do a local search, even Hyundai has a 250-mile limit.

You can buy a new car outright for what you pay for this 3 year lease. Total ripoff

It's (probably) only worthwhile if you buy out the lease immediately, not in 3 years. So cut out the 3 years of monthly lease payments.
how much we could save if we buyout within 1 or 2 months?

I tried buying one for my parents in 2022 and they were asking almost $15-20k over due to the demand during the chip shortage.

msrp - any discount/negotiations off sticker - 7500 + taxes and fees. my lease buyout is roughly 7k less than if i were to buy/finance the car without leasing and getting the rebate.
