Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.
Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.
Strange, my best friend has a long range Model Y and drives from the Bay Area to LA to visit his family almost once a month and he makes it sound so easy. He leaves around 8am, makes a stop somewhere there is a super charger to eat an early lunch (usually 45min) and then continues the drive with it charged back up to 80-90%.
I've dine the trek between socal and Vegas, sister does the socal to sf trek multiple times. It's a good 30ish minute break which goes by quickly. Park, go to the restroom, get a drink/snack/lunch, come back and 15ish minutes has gone by. Eat while watching Netflix with YouTube on for 5-10 minutes and you'll be in your way. It starts to trickle charge around 80% like your phone so you don't usually fully charge to 100%. Also when you preplan and select a supercharger you're heading to, the tesla will 'prep' the battery so it chargers quicker by time you get to the supercharger.
I want that car so f'n bad, the Ionic hatchback, don't care if its a cloth model. Are used cars still being over valued? I'd need a dealer to trade more than what I still owe... or more plus enough for a down payment on the lease. Going without a car for a few weeks selling it privately then hunting for new one ain't in the cards. Maybe if they're desperate to move new vehicles, get a new brand customer, and knowing my trade is a very popular car with only 50k miles that'd bring in ten grand more than whats still owed. I still see big dealers selling like Ford Fusions with 80k miles for $25 grand so my SUV has gotta be a moneymaker for the dealer I imagine.
I think Carvana is still offering above market rates for buying your car. Depends on the car. Doesn't hurt to enter your VIN on their site. If you don't reply in a week sometimes they'll offer more. Again, it depends on the vehicle. If you have all the paperwork like the title ready to go they'll pick it up and give you a check in a day.
I thought Carvana would be gone by now but they are still operating and giving more than other companies like Car Max. Dealer won't give you much. You'll lose a few thousand just for the convenience of a trade in.
I've never leased but if you get in a fender bender but insurance or you fix it to original, do you still have to pay any fees at the end of the lease?
If you buy it at end of lease do they even care if there are scratches and dents?
I family members in California that drive Teslas. How come they complain about the amount of time they have to wait to charge their vehicle when they drive San Francisco to LA and vice versa? They make it sound like a 5 hour drive on a Tesla is an inconvenience?
Were they waiting the tesla supercharger or the free charge point level 3 charger or the free Volta DC fast charger?
You can do that? Buy out lease after 1 month of payment? You pay residual 27000 + down payment $5000?
No you pay residual of the car at the time of buyout, which is about $32k.
It takes a complete moron do to that on a normal car. But the $7500 makes it worth while. Without the incentive, you basically leased it for zero months, and then paid full price.
Is there anybody got the car with this price? All the dealerships around upstate NY do not have qualifying rwd models and they don't give a shit about this offer.
Is this lease deal not worth considering now that you can just buy it with 5K mfg discount and dealers around me giving 2.5K discount on top. Plus 0.99% financing if buy it.
Even buying at this price seems too much vs Tesla M3 after tax credit. I'm just looking cheapest cost of ownership of say next 3 yrs.
Went to a Hyundai dealer today. They offered $8000 lease bonus vs $5500 cash bonus. The final number of leasing is lower than all cash if buyout after lease ends.
Never leased a car before. Who wants to all cash or finance a car if leasing is cheaper?
Am I missing something?

What was the down payment, monthly payment and residual value on that deal?

The $8000 'lease bonus' includes $7500 in federal tax credit they pocket when you lease an EV-- so they're only giving you $500 themselves the rest the IRS is paying them for.... vs having to give you $5000 off if you purchase since purchase does not qualify for the tax credit and they know how hilariously overpriced the car is without any credits.
