Good luck finding a Hyundai dealership that isn't marking up 7.5k to negate the credit. Tried to buy one last year and they marked up anywhere from 2k minimum to 8k with add-ons.
Hyundai actually found the issue, it was an app that sent a bunch of information/stayed connected when the car is off. Teslas have a worse issue which is phantom drain, since the car stays connected for connectivity/app usage it drains the main drive battery. Ends up making the car horribly inefficient. People come back to their cars with way less drivable range.
The $8000 'lease bonus' includes $7500 in federal tax credit they pocket when you lease an EV-- so they're only giving you $500 themselves the rest the IRS is paying them for.... vs having to give you $5000 off if you purchase since purchase does not qualify for the tax credit and they know how hilariously overpriced the car is without any credits.
Yes THIS. No reason they can't offer the 5K off and combine it with lease 7.5K. As it is now the car is 10K more than Tesla mode 3, too much $$. Let's hope better incentives on 7/6

Any news expected on 7/6? Just curious as in market and considering ioniq 5 or Tesla 3 or Y.
If anybody recently completed the lease and then immediate buyout in the past few days, what is the lowest price offered so far? I see prices for Ioniq 5 going down gradually by dealer discounts, tempted but can wait for few more days of the trend going to be the same. Any thoughts?
Last I was offered 10500 total discount e.g. 7500 + 3000 for lease, bring down msrp from 49xxx to 39xxx for SEL.
Check out Volvo. 7500 rolled in + a 2500 Costco rebate this month. I was looking at the Ioniq. Picked up a Volvo C40 instead. They're leasing great, 15k+ off MSRP with all incentives and a little negotiating.

Ioniq sounds pretty good but I need something a little bigger and more range would be nice.
