Same here. To each their own I guess. I've definitely seen shoes I thought looked ridiculous and then I saw them in person and loved them or vice versa. These look classic and mild up top which I like but I can't get over those soles.

It's hard to find a low profile shoe like that anymore. Saucony & Asics ditched them. Only Tiger sells them and they are too much for so little.

You're right. Although new balance usually makes shoes for comfort so I'm real interested in trying them. Also no one looks at your shoes from the angle the picture was taken so take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah, thanks for the insight but I've bought shoes before lol. Most product pictures for footwear give you multiple angles, yes, even the ones people don't always look at your shoes from. The fact of the matter is, these aren't just a generic or cookie cutter pair of shoes and the soles obviously draw attention because of how different they are.

If you are down to try them, good on you. Have at it, buddy. I already said in my original comment, to each their own and implied that there is potential for these to prove me wrong. I'm just not feeling the need to roll the dice is all.
