It's $299 straight from Giordano in all sizes, but if that Giordano Brava thread is any indication, this bike may very likely come with no Shimano parts whatsoever.

The gravel bikes ordered on that thread did come with Shimano components, so this might also. Giordano changed the web site when they ran out of Shimano parts, so may the odds be ever in your favor.
Don't buy this from Amazon, Giordano doesn't charge tax in many jurisdictions.

Lots of people ordered the Brava when the website said Shimano and ended up with something else. While Amazon says Shimano for this bike, the Giordana site indicates that the components you actually get may be a mystery.

Valid point there.
I doubt Amazon is doing anything but drop shipping these direct from Kent.

Just note this company is not great on customer service, but they are very affordable bikes. I bought a bike from them a month ago and UPS lost it. Web-form only contact, no phone or email. It's been 4 days now and no response from the company.

A cautionary tale:
I ordered a bike from them 3 weeks ago.
I never got a shipping number, even though it showed as shipped/fulfilled.
Repeated supper email were answered indicating some sort of warehouse problem.
Finally, they gave me a shipping number, and said it was delivered 2 weeks ago.
The shipping number was to California. I'm in Illinois.
That last communication was 2 days ago. They have ghosted me since, despite repeated attempts from me to contact them.
I've been reading about the poor quality of the bicycles received - either used, bent, or just outright broken.
I've started a dispute with my CC company.

To be clear (and not in defense of the brand) Brava's they couldn't ship with Shimano components, came with full MicroShift Mezzo drivetrains (M36 RD and M22 FD)...not just "something else". The Shimano shipped ones, came with Altus RD, Tourney FD and maybe Claris shifters. Just pointing out, at least the MicroShift ones came all within the same product line.
People may not be as familiar with MicroShift, but their components are found on even the "big names" (GT, Specialized, etc.) and the ones they used on the Brava are near identical to their Shimano counterparts. The ONLY thing that is not as nice, are the shifters themselves and honestly, it's more "getting used to them" than anything. I was able to retighten the shifters on mine and they do not slip like others are complaining.
Again, I'm not trying to defend the brand or even my purchase, I just want to make sure people understand the bikes shipped (some came with Altus) weren't with shitty components and the bike rides really well for the $189-210 price tag.

I'm glad that your purchase worked out for you personally, but a lot of people did not get what they ordered and a lot more had assembly and warranty problems and then there were all the customer service issues.
Even though I posted the link to get this cheaper through Giordano, I think it might be best to pay more through Amazon for easier returns.

Agree with you. If a bike came damaged, that is a completely different story than having a swap in drivetrains due a shortage. I had to adjust the FD, shifters and brakes on mine, but the expectation of that being required was always there. I feel like many people that complained (not all) were complaining that the bike didn't work right out of the box. And a trip to the bike shop would solve 99% of undamaged bike problems, probably for much less than most thought. Buying a bike unseen, that comes shipped in a box requiring you to put it together, should also come with the understanding it might require effort. Most online bike retailers recommend taking the bike in after assembly anyway. Proper expectations is very important here.
If you struggled to "put together" that bike (an undamaged version that is) then you shouldn't be anywhere near a toolbox to begin with, let alone a bike assembly.
Again, some people did have issues due to damaged components. But I also saw people who said "brakes rubbed...returning tomorrow", which is just silly.
