It is good, just do be aware eufy has been put on a sorta quiet boycott for their lying of mishandled user videos, essentially anyone could tap into the cameras because of lack of end to end encryption, they did "fix" this after denying it for a while but ppl have lost all trust in the cameras i think anker overall is still a good brand, i have their robo vaccume doorbell, chargers cables, and even an indoor cam i own guns so im not scared if ppl try to break in my house

I have a bunch of the floodlight and floodlight pro, was excited about the AI face detection when Homebase 3 launched, it was promised to support floodlights I think originally for end of 2022, of course it kept slipping to mid June and mid August this year!
Of course they also redefined what compatible means, check this out yourself!

They split out storage and the bionic mind AI stuff, this is just shady! I would refund my homebase if not already past the refund period!
Emailed support multiple times and they kept saying basically nothing.
Camera quality is ok and no issues, but definitely stay away because they do not advertise accurately.

what's the difference between this s220 vs the s230 that goes on sale for $130 quite often. I review the specs can cannot see the difference. https://www.amazon.com/eufy-Solar...B098X8XZFS
S230 has spotlight and bigger battery, AND the refurb is even cheaper than this deal 👍

I have the 2C Pro from Eufy which supports HomeKit/HKSV. I bought the Eufy solar panels to pair with it. Works great. I bought a bundle (2 cameras + base station) from Amazon.

I have several S230 solocam S40, water, moisture got in and broke them all. Eufy wouldn't do anything cause they are out of 12 months warranty. Not all weather resistant. Check Amazon review, everyone has the same issue.

bought the same price last year, put it close to the driveway entrance, been doing fine.
had to recharge it one or two times in the winter, but other than that it's been fine. i wasn't looking for any advanced features so i won't know what i missed as far as software goes.

If I had a place to put it I would get a 3rd but all my areas are covered now. Eufy cams are decent but my homebase stopped working (won't connect to router) and none of the cams I have (floodlight, doorbell. 2 indoor, 2 of these and the 2 "ball" cams) work with the home base (v2).

I see it has been added in the Eufy app as "new" so it should work. I ordered one, we will see.
I doubt it works with HB2. I think it can be added standalone.

I do not understand why more manufacturers do not sell outdoor cameras like this where the solar panel is integrated with the camera rather than having a standalone panel that has to be separately affixed to the house. I really like this concept but want to see alternatives to Eufy.
There just isn't a big market for it I don't think. It seems like a good idea on the surface but when I was shopping for cameras I quickly realized that all the places I wanted to put them were under overhangs. Putting cameras in direct sunlight isn't ideal if it can be avoided. Keeping them out of the weather in general is ideal if it can be avoided.

Did you pay full price for the solar panels?

I jumped on this a couple of days ago and installed it yesterday. Hardware seems ok but iOS app is worthless trash. Frequently locks up my whole phone - app switching stops and device gets hot - needs a restart to fix everything. Plus the in-app incessant pushing of other products and services. Shame as the picture and build quality is pretty good.

Oooh thanks OP! I was previously in the Ring eco system, but my doorbell got stuck in night vision. They replaced it then it got stuck again plus the doorbell button cracked. My house faces west, so I get the hot AZ sun pounding on it all day. I wasn't impressed with the video quality and increase in subscription costs. Switched to eufy. Their floodlight camera has been perfect for me. Minimal alerts unlike Ring and the picture quality in 10x better. Purchased another floodlight for my backyard and now considering this camera for my shed. I've been happy so far with their camera line up, connectivity and app video launch. Their robot vacs suck, stay away from those. Lol

Got this to replace the S230 (S40) since that one was advertised but not really water resistant. It's got damage on the inside but it's still working for now. So, I hope this new S220 holds up, had it for a couple weeks now, few rain storms already, but I need a good solid year of weathering to make a final decision if this product fixed the water issue.
