Mine lasted about 7 months before one of the cups went silent. Luckily, I got mine from ebay and they gave me my money back (because it was within the 2 year mark), so 90 days is iffy for me

Have both and the xm5 is better. I use the xm5 for work given the better ANC on it vs the Bose. The Bose is nice but uses 1 mic less for calls. If you aren't as picky as me, you won't notice a thing.

Is there any way to get a longer warranty? I had XM3s that just randomly stopped turning on, and a family member got XM4s with the same issue after about 14 months. Best Buy refused to replace either pair.
