Polestar and Volvo could step away from traditional gas car design language. For this car you have a pointless for function long hood. You suffer inside because of that misplaced priority with the unnecessary limitation of back seat legroom and less wheelbase. An MG4 is the car to compare for current design of an ev. Good rear legroom. It's got a 2705mm wheelbase vs. 2650mm for this Volvo. 2 inches right there. 4287mm length vs. 4233mm for the EX30. The difference shows in the back door dimension.

Just to be clear, Volvo EVs are not built in China.
I understand a newer model, first year production without any history will seem better, but in reality it will not be a better car. Volvo in your mind might be a higher scale car but in reviews and durability reports Volvo does not fare well. Based on the past ten year history, Volvo reliability is poor. Last year when all the dealers had empty lots and long waits for Toyotas/Lexus and Honda/Acura, there were plenty of Volvos on the lots. Guess why?
With this same logic the Tesla Supertruck may be a better vehicle for you.
Like those saying a Model Y is an SUV.
The problem is there isn't a definitive set of qualities that defines "SUV". There aren't any for "coupe" either, however if I told you something was a coupe a certain set of qualities would come to mind. Thus if we choose other vehicles that are widely considered SUV's, we can make comparisons. A CR-V or RAV4 are smaller SUV's. Is this Volvo or a Model Y comparable to either of those? Laughably not.
That's not shitting on either car, but let's face reality in marketing for once.
