An additional driver that is side firing (small performance upgrade).

I attached a picture for comparison. Top is Q990B rears and Bottom is 9500s. They look more similar in person as that was just the lighting. Physically, the 990B rears have some tapering of flat sides and a raised look to them.

I don't have them in the same room, I just haven't moved the Q800B and 9500s yet after unboxing.

How does this compare to Samsung's Q880C and/or Sonos Arc w/ 3rd Gen Sub? I am in possession of the two comparing each for my grand living room setup but this costs significantly less than those two, where I wouldn't mind saving some extra $$$.

When I was chatting , person offered me 10% and asked them to create the cart , gave all the details and suddenly he said , no more 10% discount and chat never worked after that . Chat window disappeared totally !

Was able to get for 389$ + tax ( with PM promo code which I got for my TV couple of months ago )

For what it's worth, this Q900C has the exact same soundbar and subwoofer as the Q990C which is also on sale for $1049 which is more than double the price. Only difference is that comes with rear speakers.
