I remember when Batman Beyond premiered, I was so not looking forward to it. I thought the concept was silly and they seemed like they were being forced by WB to make it. I prepared for the worst.
What followed was an amazing series that raised the bar with every episode. Such a fantastic ride.
At the time I guess everyone wanted a future Joker, a future Penguin, etc. etc. Not this show. They could have easily done that and got viewers, but they chose the hard route and created new and weird villains for Batman to face. Excellent show and more than worth it at this price.

Batman Beyond, such an excellently written and well crafted series. I used to watch this as a kid and after rewatching it last year on HBO it seems even better as an adult.

Young Justice bundle isn't the complete series. It's missing the last season, 4.

Good info!

I grew up on B:TAS, and when Beyond came out, it just didn't land for me... so I never gave it a chance.

The more opinions I hear like this one, the more tempted I am to give it a shot after all these years. Thanks!

Batman Beyond is amazing. I hope they do a live action version in the future. Also worth nothing that the epilogue of the series takes place in the animated Justice League show.

100% same. I was meh on it when it was announced. I was spoiled with the early 90s series so I I didn't want this. I did want more Batman though so I checked it out and wow, right out of the gate I was hooked. I didn't finish the series but that first couple of years I would watch every and any episode aired.

If you got kids I hope you have already showed them the early 90s cartoon show and I highly recommend this as the next follow up. Also great for adults, idc.

When it comes to who forced who, it was the complete opposite. The WB execs wanted the creators to make a show with a younger Batman (aka a younger Bruce Wayne) but Bruce Timm and co wanted to continue the universe they'd built with BTAS and STAS. So they on trhe fly pitched the idea of a younger Batman but being trained by the older original. The rest is a masterpiece

As somebody else mentioned you need to see one extra episode after this series.

The series was unfortunately cancelled early. There were plans for another season, but that season never happened. And so the story was not finished within this series. Then later the creators finished the story in a stand-alone episode of Justice League Unlimited. Episode 13 from Season 2, titled 'Epilogiue' concludes the story. The art style in that episode is different from this series but the characters are the same. That episode's story was supposed to stretch over the final season of the series.

If you watch this series definitely watch that episode. It wraps up the series quite nicely.
