Not even in the same ballpark. For example, that things maximum height is less than the DeWalt's minimum height.

Bought this in December of 21 for $99 OTD from tractor supply. It's a very sturdy stool and the quality is good. I'd expect it to last a very long time

DeWalt is fine, but this feels like buying a yeti bucket. Why spend twice what you need to on exactly the same thing?

I don't know about half price, but you can get very similar looking stools for less. For example, Blain's has a green one [farmandfleet.com] on clearance for $80 and if you can get to a Menards, their Masterforce [menards.com] brand is $89 (after rebate).

I've also seen similar stools from Jegs, Northern Tool, and a few other brands on Amazon.

I'm guessing that's half right - it's probably not labeled that it causes cancer there, so it's easier to just not sell it there.
