It's $1399 if you drop the screen from the 480hz option to the 360hz option… no way an extra 120hz at that rate is worth $200. The 360hz is a significantly better deal, but maybe still a little high.
If you have 2x Amex rewards then you're into good deal territory.

17.3", FHD 1920x1080, 360Hz, Non-Touch, 1ms, Advanced Optimus, ComfortView Plus, NVIDIA G-SYNC
I ordered the 480Hz screen, hope it is worth it.

Exactly. The one with lower hz screen is out of stock.
I would say the $1299 AMD advantage with 6900hx and 6850m xt probably is a better buy though.

Do you have a link to this? That's a good deal on a 6850m xt
Never mind, found it (the Alienware m17r5 - link for those curious: https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/c...lsrc=aw.ds).
How does the r5 compare to the r7 from a design, thermals, etc perspective?

Oh yeah. Too many Alienware deals to keep track of… , sorry
Was the other 6850m xt deal referenced earlier an m or an x series?

Dell never made an X series Alienware with AMD gpu as far as I know. It only comes in M series
