Looking for a hybrid or gravel bike under $500, preferably around $300. I'll wait for the bike nerds to chime in on this one so I can make an informed decision.

One thing that jumps out on this bike is it lists multiple possibilities for the components. So, you don't really know what you're buying.

It seems like a decent deal for the price, however the last time this bike was posted a lot of people had problems with the bike and with the company. Might be worth rolling the dice if you are a competent mechanic, otherwise shop expenses could eat up all the savings.

thanks for the warning - previous deal report a lot of bent and damaged shipments..

bikes have become much pricier and hard to find even at walmart.

got bikes for $30-60 before covid - now the cheapest at walmart seems to be @$170Mad

Fwiw, I ordered the bike last round (gravel) and I had nothing wrong that couldn't be fixed. The rear derailleur wasn't properly aligned but I was able to fix it all myself

Sure the bikes are more and more expensive.

If anyone is on the fence and wants to purchase this, do not let this comment deter you. At this price, both Shimano and Microshift will be solid.

Even the best bike companies still have supply chain issues with some builds/ components being somewhat uncertain.

However, if you can up your budget and want much better quality, the Canyon's posted earlier this week are significantly better and are on sale for $499 and $599.

The last few pages of the $500 Canyon deal indicate that people are receiving lower quality bikes than they ordered.

I bought the men's version Bravo, it came with Microshift drivetrain components which has no issue, shifts smooth and feels same as shimano altus my buddy has. I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor.
However, their customer support is not that good and expect to do some brake adjustments and tune derailleur out of the box.

I bought the men's version of this bike 3 weeks ago, received all Shimano components.

After 1 week of adjustments I have it working well enough for me (a complete bike novice who just wants to keep up with my kid).

To get it running perfect I'd have to recenter the rear wheel/hub or take it to a shop.

Overall happy with my purchase only because I enjoy DIY'ing/tinkering. If you don't, be prepared to spend extra to have a shop tune the bike
