I used it to mount a 32" monitor in portrait mode (vertically) on the side of my computer hutch to give me some more real estate and it's sturdy.
The mount shakes less than the monitor in the computer hutch!
The diagram said to use different holes than I used to mount it, but those didn't line up. There were holes where I needed them, but they were too big for the screws that go there so I had to put in washers, this wasn't a problem as this comes with all sorts of extra hardware for other configurations (seriously, I think there is over a pound of nuts/screws, plus the flaps to make it fit bigger monitors/TVs.
This one has a little longer reach than Pipishell's other 26"-60", which worked out for me since I wanted to mount it to the size but almost have it face backwards (the screen kind of faces the same plane that it's mounted on [certainly more than it faces outward]). Basically, if 0º is facing outward from the surfaces it's mounted on (normal), I've got it at 140º-ish.
But if I closed up the hutch (I rarely do), I can fold this back so it looks like it's hanging on the side of the hutch intentionally.
