No free memory upgrade to 512gb. With regular offer at 512GB free upgrade, it is $427 with education discount comparing to $449, hence not good deal for 512GB version. But good deal for 256GB.

The biggest upgrade is the 8gen2. I own both s22u and s23u, the s22u is constantly a hot potato while s23u is at most warm under heavy load. Other than the processor, the battery life is a huge improvement. At $200 difference probally it makes sense to upgrade but not over that.

They ship you your new phone with packing material. Some soft sheeting and a lot of cardboard that is long, shredded like a pair of 80s jeans, rolled up on the new phone. A fedex return label will be inside. You will need to tape it to the outside of the box, on top of the original label (or remove the original label and apply new one).


Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.


Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.


Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

No issues on the unlocked S22U. Easily get 2 days and 12hrs screen time. Mainly want to upgrade for a less fuzzy camera

Wow, 12 hours of SOT on S22 Ultra. Never heard or seen like that.. Hold on to your unit then, I don't think S23 ultra will give that.. Not sure if my s22 ultra unit had problem.. Once I reach 5% charge, I will literally run to charger. or else it will turn off in less than 30 seconds!!!

Concerning the 512gb variant. It seems that Samsung's checkout IGNORES the markdown price for Lime, Sky Blue, and of course Creme. During checkout it treats it as if you are checking out with one of the other color variants and defaults to total of $429 REGARDLESS of what color you're choosing. I don't see why they're not overriding this for people during checkout and making a price correction. This is clearly the software not being linked to the other prices and assumes that all the prices across all variants are the same, when in reality the software should be linked to each price variable INDIVIDUALLY so that the total would reflect the correct color variants chosen. INSTEAD it just uses the price of the Black variant for example and applies the trade-in discount to that price, even though you selected Creme.

The reason we keep getting $429 at checkout is because

Green = $1179 - $750 = $429
Black = $1179 - $750 = $429
Lavender = $1179 - $750 = $429
Graphite = $1179 - $750 = $429
Red = $1179 - $750 = $429

Lime = $1164 - $750 = ***$414
Sky Blue = $1164 - $750 = ***$414

***Creme = $1026 - $750 = $276***

They themselves don't realize the problem which is why they've never been able to answer for how you get to the $429 price. They can't provide a legitimate answer
