Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.
Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.
Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

I need a watch or buds 2 pro bundle. Tbh...
Currently Pixel 7 Pro is $700 - $450(iphone 11 tradein) = $250 plus cost to acquire an iphone 11. If you get the metro iphoen 11 for around $100-150 then net cost of Pixel 7 Pro would be around $350-400.
The way the economy is similar deals will come up again.
