I have the 21" version of this that I got for ~120 a couple years back during winter (it's the same *15* amps, not the 5 listed in this post.) Love it for the high desert snow that is light and sandy, absolutely would NOT trust it to move more than a couple inches at a time of the proper wet snow that we'd get out east as it'll jam the chute. The LEDs are a must have, and make sure you get a cold approved extension cord (ideally with lit end for if it comes out at night.) TU.

These things beat shoveling, but don't expect miracles. It did save me about 3 years ago when we got really bad snow in the midwest.

It is 15 amps, I had a typo (now fixed). Thank you! Smilie

Not everyone has a gated property like myself that needs heavy duty snow blowers...Some people have small properties that are served well by this type of product...

This is a great price unfortunately we haven't seen much if any snow past few winters. I used my snowblower once in the northeaster last winter otherwise I'd buy another for my deck

Plug in equipment is fine for those small driveways or property. It's probably more ideal than having to deal with battery degrading & charging.

I used a similar model for years. Make sure you have a large gauge extension cord. I recommend 10 or 12 awg for 100 ft, but you can maybe get by with 12 or 14 awg for a 50ft. SJEOW is the best material to stay flexible in the snow. Others advertise cold weather capable. They may not crack it you leave them outside, but if you're actively using them then the stiffness is a problem. Of course if you use an 18awg cord with a 15A snow blower then the cord will heat up. Problem solved :p

El Nino will change things this year. I don't know in what ways and in what places. Local news near me had recently done stories about the local trends, so it may be worth checking your local news sites.

Have this and the handle bent in about 6 inches of snow. I emailed snowjoe to get it replaced and they can't replace just the handle, they send you a whole new unit, but this unit is always out of stock for warranty and the best they could do is replace it with a lower model. For $107 it's worth it for light snow.

You shovel your own snow in a gated community?
