Looks like it has white light LEDs, not IR LEDs .. so it may not be able to go into IR mode.
Which should be OK if you have enough white light around .. ( street lights, .. etc )
This is a Hikvision OEM camera, and most of those meet specs well so this should work well with Hikvision NVRs than can handle the resolution and bandwidth, as well as 3rd party NVRs / VMS ( like Blue Iris ).
Remember most IP PoE cameras do not come with PSE ( Power Sourcing Equipment ) .. many prefer a PoE switch for this.
Remember for best results you want to mount this to reduce the chances of water ingress .. ( look at ipcamtalk for notes on this topic .. hint drip loops, di-electric gel, coax seal or plumbers silicone stretch tape, and .. )
Thanks @MicahJames .. definitely a good deal on a 1/1.2" in my book
Hi Tayninh
For a Dahua OEM NVR I'd look for EmpireTecAndy at ipcamtalk .. should be able to find a reference there to his Amazon store front also ..
Otherwise, hard lately to find NVR deals
I think a lot of ipcamtalk member prefer to go the Used business class PC + Blue Iris + PoE switch
note, btw this is a Hikvision OEM camera .. so the Dahua NVR will provide limited support to the advanced features of the camera.
( need to double check the ONVIF versions supported .. )
Thanks @MadPup
Funny, some reviews ( example a lot of the 1-star ones ) clearly do not know what they are talking about .. ( they're new to PoE cameras for example and expected this camera to be standalone and not needing to run a cat5e/cat6 cable to it .. )
Hi Therepairguy
the 4MP 1/1.8" sensor cameras are still very good, even compared to this one.
the 8MP 1/1.2" sensor cameras that have come out, clearly do much better than the 8MP 1/1.8" sensor model cameras.
HI @luniz97
From a basic recording point, this should work as it meets specs well.
For the more advanced features ( detection features ), my guess is the synology may not support them as well as we'd like - however, I really am not 100% certain - so you'll want to double check that.
Hi @Kherbinoskie,
I would expect similar on this as mentioned for luniz97 ...
Do double check the ONVIF levels on the Qnap and this camera .. should at least work for the basic compatibility
Thanks @fawzi, repped
HI Mrsleepi
Larger sensor than most of the 8MP cameras we see posted here .. thus it will do better in low light image capture.
HI @Pandy00 ..
Great question .. Annke's return policy .. would be nice to see a price match at Amazon .. I'd feel a lot better with that return policy.
Hopefully others who have used Annke recently can help us with this question.
Hi @suepafly
Did you run new cat5e/6 cables ?
Are the cables CCA or copper wired ?
Remember to trouble shot how they were installed.
If you live in a lightening area, CCTV / IP PoE cameras can get fried by nearby hits.
Reolink Cameras seem to work best with Reolink NVRs.
Many are using the Reolink cameras that meet rtsp specs with Blue Iris or similar .. if you go that route you can mix Hikvision OEM, Reolink, and other cameras. ..
Hi Mbis,
Yes .. these should work .. double check resolution and bandwidth on the NVR .. as well the tier level the NVR supports. Chances are older NVRs will not support the new advanced features ..
Yes ronlee and heiNey ..
Most of the Lorex kits are Dahua OEM of recent years ..
If the NVR supports ONVIF you can set the channel to ONVIF and the camera to ONVIF and get the basics to work.
The advanced features may not.
Remember to double check the bandwidth the NVR supports and is using .. you may need to lower fps on some of the more affordable NVRs.
Thanks Harry, and repped.
