Kind of feel like I should buy it, given how horrible HBO Max's decisions have been recently. Can see them removing Sopranos at some point for no good reason.

This is why I keep physical media. The folks who believe that they will always be able to watch what they want, whenever they want, for ever and ever amen are going to have some rough times.

Dang! I have a really cool DVD set of the series and have MAX. It feels like a crime not to buy it on Blu Ray tho.

I do feel like HBO is going down. After the success of Euphoria, I think their gameplan is to start making more brain-dead, trashy shows like that. See "The Idol." It's a shame. They're turning into Starz and Showtime. My thinking is, Amazon, Netflix and Disney are just destroying them and they know their time is up. Then you have AMC and FX.

I can see this argument, but I don't think HBO is turning away from their reputation as the place for premium quality. The trio you mentioned primarily focus on churning out lower quality content designed for mass market consumption and all have their own issues. Prestige shows don't grow on trees and Succession (even The Last of Us) just showed you what HBO is capable of so I think the in-demand creatives still know HBO is the place to go to. Yes, they are diluting their brand somewhat by trying to attract the common folk (look no further than the dumb re-brand to Max), but it's the unfortunate reality of the streaming wars. Euphoria probably has a devoted fanbase too so they figured they can retain those types with this newer crap.

Succession was garbage. Sorry. I went to college with a lot of rich kids so maybe that's why I can't get into it. They make these people look cool on TV but in real life, they really hate their lives and other people. Why? They have no idea what it means to struggle, so they don't appreciate what they have.

I'm not being preachy, I mean it. They're weird.
