It would be cheaper to buy two 24 inch monitors in a dual setup
LOL absolutely not. Only if you're buying trash monitors from sketchy Chinese brands like JOOPNE or GREBEAR. This one is a good brand, IPS, only 75Hz but it has FreeSync.....find me a comparable 24 inch IPS monitor with FreeSync for LESS than $75, I dare you.
Plus, UltraWide is better for gaming than 2 monitors. No hole in the middle of your screen(s)!

Acer has horrible brightness specs on their monitors.
This monitor only has 250 nits, which is the lowest you can possibly have and still call a monitor
250 nits is suuuuuper average for an SDR monitor (meaning one that isn't HDR). This is a normal monitor with average specs at a good price. Your opinions are wrong and you should feel bad.

way more resolution for the dollar + 100hz, don't listen to the above noob I quoted. Only get 21:9 if you want it for gaming. At the end of the day these cheap panels will have shit nits and color.

To play devils advocate, the wider an IPS display is, the more fringing or darkness/color shift you will experience at the edges since you aren't looking at it straight on. (2) 24" would require you to angle the monitors, lending to more of a curved monitor setup with the increased desk real estate. Monitor in this listing is more of a flat monitor setup.
