I'm getting started with my paperwork now. I have to see what I did yesterday and plan out what I'm going to do today. I think that I'm going to RA to take advantage of the great bonus offers that they have this week but the deals themselves aren't very good and stock is an issue so it's going to be challenge to put something together. This is the part that people don't see. They watch me throw stuff into the shopping cart and think that it's easy. Maybe it is if you watch the YT videos and do what they do but we all know that in reality it never works like that.

Thanks everybody! I love my couponing friends.

I do eBay and Poshmark also. I'm actually pretty good at it, and have a specific eBay niche I won't get into (nothing weird). As I'm putting more time into it I see the eBay sales improving. I don't know why he was being so mean on Monday, but I will be okay.

Not yet this week. Thank you for the ideas. My husband freaked out about me not contributing money to the family (long story and not totally true, but the brunt does fall on him). So I am trying to spend $0 money or close to it. I'm pretty miserable. It's tough when the person you are married to doesn't like who you are and is embarrassed by you. Sorry to dump this here.
I hope that was just a bad day, hugs. This is the best place to share.

My husband didn't get it early on (YEARS ago), so I would bring in all the bags of things I bought during a shopping trip, put it on the kitchen island and ask him to guess how much net I paid for it all. I'm in a tax after coupon state, which keeps taxes extremely low when I'm paying with ecbs. After bringing everything in four or five times, my husband started guessing I paid nothing for what I bought.

He and my son would start taking things off the kitchen island - I want this, I want that. Now he's much more patient with it. I do try very hard to NOT let my CVS shopping impact any family plans, vacations, etc. And he tries very hard to NOT have to go with me, whenever possible.

I want to get into doing some selling on ebay, but I need to figure out how to make that happen. I'm proud of you for doing that, it takes time and effort to actually make money doing it.

The funny thing about RA is that you never know what you're going to walk out with. I came in thinking that it was a Tide day and ended up with garden tools and pain meds (an interesting combo LOL). I ended up with around $500 of stuff (none of it was beauty) and after tax it was all free. It was actually more than $500 because the garden tools were 60% off. Then I went to CVS and rocked with my non-digital cards but got stumped with the digital cards. I decided to dump the digital. I waste way too much time with digital and if I can do better without it why should I have it? So I'll miss a few toothpaste deals. The world won't end because of it...

It's funny how the people who criticize us for couponing are the ones who want all of the free things we get. I don't know why you spend so much time couponing but can you give me some toilet paper and Tide...

OMG…..that is so true!!!
You all are making me feel better about the people I surround myself with...I'd have no tolerance for that! If they cant be outright supportive, they know to at least say "thanks" and keep it to that. LOL

I dont know what your niche is obviously but I just wanted to add that I do much better on Facebook and Nextdoor for couponing items (usually) than on eBay. eBay just takes so much in fees and then the payment method takes another slice. Someone slipping cash under my welcome mat is so much better!

Also, I find that often how someone is acting towards me is a reflection of what's going on with him. So whatever was going on Monday, especially if there wasnt a precipitating event by you that you can think of, could easily just be something that happened to him or something that somebody else did to him and you were a "safe space" to express those feelings. It's crappy but most of us do it.

See above about my thoughts on selling coupon stuff on eBay.

It's not a fun day to be a pickle let me tell you. Warning: gross medical details ahead so you might want to skip this. I'll need surgery on my prostate. They took pictures today and they have to do an ultrasound in 2 weeks to confirm it. The test they did today wasn't fun. I'm still peeing blood. I hope it stops but with the blood thinner I'm taking I'm a little bit worried. I told the doctor about my fall on Saturday and he said that I either bruised or broke my ribs. I still have stomach surgery on hold due to the blood thinner and that one will be major. I have two more doctors that I have to see so who knows what more bad news I'll get. And my appointment with the cardiologist is coming up. I've been in the hospital three times with heart problems since I saw him in late April. On the positive side, I'm doing better with the blood thinner than I have in the past. My vital signs are getting more normal but I still have days where I feel very weird and don't know what I'm saying (some of my posts on here are proof of that). It looks like I'll have a two week gap where I won't be able to shop after my prostate surgery so I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with that. I wish that I could say that my store cards are all spent down but it's exactly the opposite.
I'm sorry to hear that. I highly encourage you to ask the doctors how quickly you can come off the blood thinners so you can get all your other necessary surgeries.

Cautionary tale - my mom was on blood thinners. She - with doctor's knowledge - chose to wait on other surgeries until they could get the heart issues the blood thinners were for under control. By the time we finally pushed her to get the other things done and had a colonoscopy first, she had colon cancer that had spread to her liver. From the time the doctors told her she had 6 weeks to 6 months to live, she lived 6 weeks.

Spend your store cards down now. Buy food items you can use. Buy items you can gift or sell to friends. Or buy items you can return after your surgeries.

Good luck!

I'm so sorry about your mom. My mom had a sudden heart attack when she was 45. I've never recovered from that. We were very close.

Sorry to hear you are going though this mess. I think S'momma is right with buying things you will be able to use while you're recovering. Do you know anyone who understands the couponing at all? Or could at least spend your drugstore money if you have to go into the hospital suddenly?

Kellogg's new offer for free books is back. I bought 4 closeout Special K cereals, used two $1/2 coupons, so they were a good deal. Receipt was accepted and I just ordered 4 books. There is quite a selection to choose from.

https://www.kelloggspromotions.co...home.html]

The list of available books doesn't show up until you sign up. It's not a printed list, but individual boxes, one for each book. When you click on one, you can then read about it. You don't have to order it just because you selected to read about it.
It took 3 days for the notification of receipt acceptance. As you order a book, you are sent a confirmation e-mail. Each book is an individual order unless you order multiples of the same book.

Free Kellogg's Cooler Tote:

https://www.kelloggspromotions.co.../home.html

I used the same receipt which I submitted for the free books. It was accepted. I just ordered the tote.

This offer ends at the end of the month.

The problem with free books is that you have to read them...lol

You don't have to read them. You can donate them to a library of your choice! Kellogg's will send them there. They're children's/YA books.

I was kidding. I used to be a collectible book dealer and would read around 100 books a year to figure out what I wanted to buy. I was mostly into British first editions and they would usually come out 6 months before the American edition (even with US authors). Back then it was a big deal to get the true first edition and that usually was the British book. I was also a children's book dealer and I've been to about a million children's book signings, everything from Stephenie Meyer to Buzz Aldrin.
