So I had my final test on Thursday and I failed it like I knew that I would. I still don't know when my surgery will be. I think that I have to be off the blood thinner for 7 days before they can do anything. I have an appointment with another doctor in the same building on Wednesday so if I haven't heard anything by then I'll find out what's going on. I really want the surgery but at the same time I really don't want it. The cystoscopy hurt a lot. More than my open-heart surgery and I know that my prostate surgery will hurt even more and I'm not excited about walking around with a catheter for at least a week.
I'm such an idiot but you all know that. I ran out of one of the urology drugs (the important one) but my eyesight is so bad that I thought that Protonix was Flomax so I doubled up on Protonix (I have 2 bottles) and wasn't taking any Flomax. I caught it on Sunday morning when I was looking at my pills and went wow, these two look the same... I went to the pharmacy and got some more Flomax but when I took it this morning it started causing me all sorts of problems so I don't think that I can take it anymore. I seeing a third doctor on Thursday and I'll tell him about my screw up. I do stuff like this all of the time now. Maybe he can tell me if I'm just an idiot or if there's something wrong.
I've noticed that all of the CVS talk has died down. Has it all blown over or is it the calm before the storm?
I think that when I have my surgery I'll bail from here. I like to post but half of the time I don't know what I'm saying and I hate waking up the next morning and going did I really write that...
Great, I just got another lab test result. Everything was fine until this one. I'll find out how serious it is on Thursday.
Get yourself a pair of reading glasses at CVS!! OR 2 ! THey're easy to misplace. Wag's used to have good deals on them.
Sent you a PM
Take care.
I handed my son The Kite Runner, but I don't think he's even started it yet. I don't know how to motivate him. I started reading Owen Meany myself.
- get a pill organizer; they come in many styles from daily to weekly to monthly and for one to four (maybe even more) times a day. I personally use a 7-day with both am and pm compartments. Works well for me. I keep it by my kitchen sink where I will see it many times throughout the day.
-there are also alarmed pill reminders; not really sure how they work but I think there are different varieties. Might want to investigate such a thing if you have store money to spend down.
Also, ask your pharmacist for ideas. They may surprise you.
Take care.

Who knew there was a celery shortage? I'm sure I would have gotten a better bunch at Sam's, but I'm trying to limit my trips to "town" until I have to go for something else.

I'll wait til Publix has the name brand on sale BOGO.
Too bad that there aren't any coupons for them.
Note that this is a post from last summer's thread.
