I'm not sure there's anything I REFUSE to buy, but I do follow the recommendation to keep two grocery lists - one for things we really need today and one for things we use and will be wanting in the next 30 days. I don't buy things from the second list unless it's on sale or there's a great coupon/rebate offer on it.

Maybe someone will mention something though!
30 day list is a superb idea!
Mine is pistachios. Publix will have them BOGO at some point, so I just wait until that happens and go pistashio-less LMAO until then.

We love pistachios! I have lucked out a few times at our Smith's. They fill shopping carts with them along with a few other nuts and mark them down so low that it would be a sin not to buy them. Often this has happened when there's a new sale or display. What doesn't fit on the shelf or display they get rid of; they don't put it in the back for a probable refill.

Store managers get crazy ideas on pricing and reductions. I love a good deal, especially on items that we use!

Happy deal finding everyone!

RA was a total failure today. They only had one person working and the store was a zoo. The line was 10 people long. All beer and the ice cream counter. The cashier had 2 registers going and then she was running over to ice cream. The other cashier was at lunch so I hung around until she got back but then the cashier who was there took off for lunch and there was only one person again. People kept on coming in and there was no way that I was ever going to get rung up so I left. Nothing is worse than when you're ready to buy but it doesn't happen because the store messes up.
YOur RA has an Ice Cream Counter? I am glad that wasnt a thing here or I never would have had RA money.

Anything y'all refuse to buy unless it's on sale or BOGO?
Most snacks. We usually have something of a similar flavor profile already so that suits us until the desired item is a buy price again.

Yep, it was over 100 here and my RA is all by itself on a main drag. A 10 minute drive from nearest liquor store so this RA gets a lot of traffic. No couponers except me but non-stop beer and ice cream purchases. The ice cream counter is across the store and the typical customer is a mom with 5 kids. On a day like Friday, 3 people wouldn't have been enough but the one guy was doing as much as anybody could and he was still smiling.

Rough day. I've had to take nitro for the past 5 days and today was another bad day so I took it again. It's helped me in the past but this time it made me almost pass out multiple times at CVS. If I bent down or walked more than 10 feet I was in trouble. Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow. I'm sick of talking to my doctors. I'll look like Casper the Friendly Ghost on a bad hair day and they'll go um, that's normal for you, see me in 3 months and then I'll pass out on my way to the car. I might go to the ER if I don't feel better tomorrow or just say screw it.

Do you have anyone around checking in on you? Family, friend or neighbor?

What happens when you pass out on the way to your car? Does the medical facility react differently then? If not, I'd go someplace else. Just my two cents.

I'm fine now but I was pretty rocky for an hour or two. If I feel bad tomorrow I'll have to go to the ER rather than taking nitro again. I took my vitals on the machine at RA yesterday. My BP was 97/55 and my heart rate was 41. I can only imagine what my vitals were today. The last time I was in the hospital my heart rate was 33 and I felt much worse today.

My options are limited. I only have one artery open and it's being kept open by a stent. I have to take the baby aspirin and blood thinner to prevent a blood clot which would kill me. There isn't a surgical option so all they can do for me in the hospital is to make sure that I'm stable and then send me home. What I'm having now isn't my stent closing so they consider it "normal" for me. Unfortunately, it means that it's part of my life from now on.

I have been in a similar situation due to Crohn's. When the doctors cant find the root cause (at that point I was undiagnosed) all they can do is treat any injuries that might have occurred when you passed out, get you stable again and maybe try to diagnose you. I imagine if there's a diagnosis, it is very much the same less that last step. I never passed out at a medical facility that I recall but sometimes people would (very understandably) call an ambulance especially if they were strangers and didnt understand that passing out was somewhat normal for me so I know how my local hospitals at the time handled it and it was very much as FabPic describes.

I posted on here a few months ago when they called a code on me at the neurologist's office (which is in the same complex as the hospital) because my heart rate dropped below 40. I was telling his nurses that I was fine but they said that they had to do it. Two ambulance crews arrived to take me 100 feet to the ER and they wheeled me out into the waiting room that was packed with people on my way to the hospital. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I was pleading with them to let me walk over to the ER but they stuck me with needles and IV's so quickly that there wasn't anything I could do. I think that I was in the hospital for 4 days that time but I've been in the hospital so many times since my first heart attack that I'm not sure. It's really pointless. Most of the time the insurance won't give me a private room so I can't even relax. Obviously, if I'm not stable then I need to be there. I probably should've gone yesterday. I had two episodes this morning and another one after I took my meds at noon. I thought that I was doing better but my heart is jumping all over the place so I'm staying in bed for the rest of the day.

I'm pretty sure that CVS discontinued carrying the Febreze Car Vents singles a few months ago. I remember getting a bunch when it'd been on clearance & mgmt telling me that a re-set had happened to the scented mdse (when I asked about the decrease in scented choices).
I'm sure that you're right. I've been to so many stores in the last 2 weeks that I don't know what I'm looking at anymore. lol

It turns out that it didn't matter because I had to do less than optimal orders due to the stock situation and I didn't need Febreze to hit $40. It was better than losing the $10.

With my Covergirl deals going back to reality, it makes it very hard to do anything. At least the timing is good since I'd like to get out before the end of next week. I don't want to take a chance on not being able to get to the store for a month and losing everything.

I hate to close out RA because there's a 15/50 next week and the 5/25 may work forever. I'm going to have a lot in BCC's at the end of the month but the points are good for 3 months before you have to convert them so I'm not worried. I may go down to the wire with RA. At Wags, I'm in no hurry to do anything but I do want to get better at it.

The UFC card sucked. Cory Snooze-man put everybody to sleep. I think that the UFC guys should skip boxing matches. They're 0 and 5 against Jake Paul and Paul lost the first time he faced a real boxer (who wasn't that good). It'll be interesting if Paul and Diaz actually do a MMA fight. Imagine if Paul won. That would be the end of the UFC.

Hi Kiki, Jimmy Carter is so nice in person. He really enjoys talking with people. He used to sign at Borders in Westwood right after he went on the Tonight Show. For some reason, whenever I got up to see him he would want to tell me all about his visit with Jay. I was tripping out as in the President is actually talking to me lol. This was a long time ago and I doubt that he is still doing signings.
