Where do you get bed pads? The puppy pads haven't leaked and they've been pretty wet a couple of times. I'd much rather have the bed pads. If they aren't as thick I could put 2 of them down.
I haven't purchased them, myself, I did get some from Freecycle to donate to the Ukraine. The packages have no markings on them. I did look them up on CVS and here is the link

https://www.cvs.com/shop/advocate...id-1180067

$69.99 for a 10pack!! EEK! Not available in stores.

Do a search on Amazon for "Incontinence Bed Pads" and a whole bunch will come up.
I don't know about the absorbency. I opened one of the ones I had and they feel thin. Maybe they still soak up alot, I don't know.
Maybe someone with personal experience can comment.

OMG. The first one is what I have. 15 pads for $39.99 at CVS. I got 25 pads from RA and they are $9.99. They're also the thick ones instead of the regular ones that CVS has. RA has 100 regular pads for 25 something. I'm told that I could've done better at Costco and the 99Cent Store but I can't drive around and I had some really good offers from RA (10/50 Bonus Cash ad coupon and 11/55 cat). That makes it around 40% off so my real cost is $6 for 25 pads. I'll go with that. I think that it's ridiculous that CVS has prices like this. They prey on people who trust CVS and have no idea what they should cost. It's despicable. I wonder, CVS, how much profit is enough? You're charging 6 times what RA is asking. Will it be 10 times with your next price hike? Yeah, I'm pissed. If CVS wants to charge more that RA that's ok but this is out and out robbery.

Sorry, I'm in a really bad mood. I woke up to a sea of orange from my catheter leak. It was all on my top sheet. I use 4 puppy pads (to make a huge area in case I roll over in the night). Two of them were a little wet but not much and two were dry. I don't understand how the leak happened. There wasn't much in my bag. The night before I had to dump it over and over again. It's probably because of all of the IV's that they gave me in the hospital. I doubled up on the sleeping pills (2 instead of 1) and I finally got some sleep (a few hours at least) but I don't know why the catheter leaked so much and I'm freaked out by it. No damage except to my underware which is in the trash. The bed is fine. The puppy pads are doing their job.

My goals for today 1) don't take any norco (I only took it on Thursday) 2) get more puppy pads just in case 3) get some sleep 4) no catheter leaks 5) get some water while I'm at RA for the pads. I have Aquafina but I really don't like it. It's got a salty aftertaste. Maybe it's my meds and not the water but I need to get something else. I'll get somebody to carry it for me because I sure can't do it. I was thinking that I'd go to CVS today and scan some cards but there's no way that I can do that.

That is highway robbery at CVS, but at least they're not on the verge of bankruptcy.

Sorry you're not feeling better yet. I feel like you expected it would be hard for awhile, but I understand how 'expecting it to be hard' and the reality of it being hard are two different things.

GC lip balm went up to $7.29. I can't remember the last time I went to CVS and walked out without buying anything but I did it today. On the drive home I decided to spend my extra bucks asap. I'll give CVS a break and maybe they'll come to their senses. Do they really think that people buy CG because they like the product? I'll admit that the lip balm is good but there's no way that I would spend $7.29 for it.

My expectation was that I'd be in bed for 2 weeks to a month but that I wouldn't be in pain. I'm in extreme pain and norco isn't doing it for me. The catheter leaks are very depressing. I was only going to run to RA today but I overdid it and went to CVS, too. I'm going to pay the price for the rest of the day and night. I wanted to get the $3 CG crt's in case things returned to normal next week. I don't blame myself for taking the chance but it was a failure.

So I got a message from my cardiologist and I clicked on the link to read it and I got a virus warning. I know that my cardiologist doesn't like me very much but sending me a virus is a little over the top lol. Seriously, what kind of scum would hack a medical website for people with heart problems?

A friend showed me something called a Zap It. It looks like a pickleball racquet and you zap the mosquito. It looks pretty cool to me but I wouldn't want to have it if I had little kids. Does anybody have an opinion on it?

Why don't they just have one size for watch batteries? They could use the 2032 for watches and keys. It would make life so much easier. I understand that some items may need more juice but for just regular stuff it doesn't make sense to have multiple sizes.

Is anybody interested in the US Open? Are there any new players that I should watch? Wait, I can't watch it. My cable service deleted a bunch of channels including Disney and ESPN. They have a message saying that Disney played hardball and wanted too much money. Maybe the CEO of CVS took over Disney, too.

Maybe you need to take the norco? Above you said you haven't taken it since Thursday. I know most pain meds have the best impact when you don't miss a dose. When my son had his acl surgery, the doctors even emphasized we should wake him up to take a dose if he was asleep at the dosing time so he didn't miss any.

I know you want to be back to normal, but if you have to stay home under the effect of your pain meds, it might just help you get better.

A friend has family in India where mosquitos are so bad (maybe more dangerous, too, disease transmission-wise) that they sleep under netting. In telling me about visiting them, he described something "kind of like a miniature tennis racquet." He said it made a very satisfying zzzt! when he connected. If memory serves, he used it laying in bed at night in the dark and just waved it around when he heard one that might have got inside the netting. There were little kids in the family, and they stopped him when he was about to apply mosquito repellent to one of them. "No, no, no. Not for the babies." The "babies" only got a Burt's Bees repellent, but he didn't say anything about keeping the zapper thing away from them. Seems possible that enough electricity to be lethal to a mosquito could still not be very harmful to even a small human. I thought they sounded pretty cool, too, and the fact that the Indians used them seems like a recommendation, but I have no personal experience.

I don't want to get addicted to it and I'm the kind of person to where that could easily happen. I'll only take norco if the pain is too much for me. I hurt a lot today but it's 5 pm and I haven't taken any so it will be 2 days without it. I'm tempted to flush it down the toilet. I refused it in the hospital but they tricked me and told me that they were giving me tylenol. Technically they were correct but they left out the other part. It didn't help me very much so they had to give me morphine and even that wasn't much help. If you can imagine sandpaper on your private parts that's what it feels like. They blasted my prostate and removed it through the urethra. They told me that it wouldn't hurt but they lied. It hurts like hell. It's a new procedure that they're doing at Stanford. I don't know if the extra pain is worth the quicker recovery time and I'm not sure yet if I'll have a quicker recovery. The only good thing is that I haven't had any heart problems from it. I've lost 10 pounds this week. I went from being built like a linebacker to skinny lol. I walked into RA this morning and they all went what happened to you. It's always nice to lose weight but this is not the weigh to do it.

That's the Zap It. It makes a loud noise when you connect. I watched my friend get 2 of them. There was no mess on the racquet. I guess that they just vaporize. I don't like killing things but mosquitos are the exception.

I wonder if CVS is trying to end paper couponing by killing the CG and Tide deals. I don't know what else there is to do with just paper coupons. It's interesting that CFM just shut down. I wonder what the story is behind that. CFM has been business for a long time. Maybe the inserts got so bad that there wasn't any money in it anymore. Or maybe they got pressured into closing. I haven't seen any of the other sellers on CFM do anything online except for Jacks. I like Jacks but they sell in 15's rather than 20's and they give you strips instead of the coupon you want. If I want to get the CG eye coupon, I also have to take the face and skin ones and then clip them but it's not that big of a deal and Jacks is cheaper than everybody else that I've checked. I was thinking about getting CG coupons from them but I waited too long and they sold out. Now I'm glad that I passed. Paper coupons are a fool's game and when you get a price increase on top of it then you just got knocked out. I admit that I'm unable to adapt. I don't like the online ads and I get confused by the digital stuff. I feel like I have no control over my transactions when I do digital. My strength in couponing has always been that I can calculate things instantly in my head and I know exactly what I'm doing at all times. I feel like a rookie with digital and I don't have any fun doing it. Maybe I'm just too old for this...

If you choose not to take your pain killers, please don't flush them down the toilet. That impacts the water system. Many Walgreens stores have a metal collection bin for used medicines and I noticed recently our SW store now has one near their pharmacy. You don't have to tell them what you're getting rid of or why.

I have some of those insect zappers. I got them years ago from Harbor Freight when they gave many things for free. I used a few times. Don't know where they are now. Yes you have to wave them around at the bug and it does make a "snap" sound when connecting with the bug. Yeah, it just fries them. Its pretty cool. There is a warning not to touch the parts with the live wires. I think it would really sting you but not harm you. It has an on-off button and runs on batteries.

Oh, hell to the no!! Keep them, no harm in that. Just incase you decide you really need them, now or for another time. Geez, they're so expensive, I'm sure and hard to get.

Has anyone done an Amazon return lately at staples? I dropped my return off over a week ago, and still no refund. They said no refund until they receive the item back.
Hopefully you have gotten your refund by now but...I tend to return at Whole Foods since I am there every week filling up water jugs anyway. I have had a couple of instances where it took longer than usual. IIRC one came through after 2 weeks and I had to chat the other. Unrelated to time the return took but I once had a seller claw back half of the return fee because I "didnt return all parts" Luckily it was something that was one item so Amazon agreed with me that if they got any of it back they had to have gotten it all back unless the seller woud provide photo proof. The really stinky part is that the return origionally posted as normal and then they clawed back but didnt tell me. What made me think of this was that I was checking returns frequently due to one of the longer returns and that's how I noticed the change in return value.

EEK!No wonder you were worried. They probably laughed about it once you left, but I hope at least one of them will remember you and warn other people about that side effect.

And thanks for mentioning puppy pads. I'm going to mention them to my sister.Hide
It's inexcusable that this side effect wasnt mentioned given all the circumstances.

Puppy pads are a great substitute. I'd use whichever was cheaper and have not noticed a significant difference in the past.

Uh, it shouldnt. You should mention this to your doctor in case it is an indicator of something.

Fab- I hope you start feeling better soon.

I believe targeting medical is big business for hackers. Precisely because records are so important.

This is horrible but a long time ago in a rental cabin we had a pretty bad carpenter bee problem. Bug spray wouldnt do anything to deter them. We found that we could swing a tennis racquet and just kill them that way.

I also do not like taking pain relievers. Mainly because they dont seem to help that much in normal quantities and I would rea;ly rather not take the addiction risk of high dosages. That said, have you ever given meditation a go. I know it's maybe not the ideal time to start right now but if you have the time reading a bit about it might really be helpful. I used to use a relaxation app that helped me tons.

I went to the ER to have them fix my catheter and I ended up in the hospital. They kept me for 2 days and released me on Monday afternoon. I had a lot of stuff go on. It wasn't a good stay.

I went to the ER to have them fix my catheter and I ended up in the hospital. They kept me for 2 days and released me on Monday afternoon. I had a lot of stuff go on. It wasn't a good stay.
And why are you home instead of still in the hospital????????
