If I'm not mistaken, these are so called "special" gift cards that can't be used till June 17th and beyond.

Correct. If you can wait 3 days, they will be redeemable at any time after that. Odd restriction but is what it is.

Yeah, it sucks for me as I'm trying to buy something from them which sale ends the day before the gift cards go active. I mean every penny saved helps...and in this case we are talking a 1,000 pennies per card and I need $400 worth, or 4,000 Penneys savings!!!
