I know this isn't LiFePo4 but is that really a deal breaker if I only plan on taking it camping a few times per month? Is LiFePo4 safer battery tech vs Li-on? Seems like a decent deal for the capacity and wattage.

I bought the pecor deal on here but I'm wondering if it would be better to spend another $150+ for bigger/better brand and warranty

If you go camping 4 times a month and charge it each time, that's about 50x per year so you're looking at about 10 years minimum recharging, so I think you'd be fine there. For camping, keep in mind this weighs 24lbs, so depending how far you have to carry it and what you want to run on it, you might want something lighter weight/lower capacity.

For camping Li-ion is the way to go.
You wont be cycling it often enough for rated duty cycles to matter (once a week for a year still gets you 10 years at 80%).
LiFePo4 is also far less energy dense than Li-ion, meaning a similar capacity unit is going to weigh even more.

Interestingly enough, delta 2 is just 27lb while being better in everything.
I can see coupon. Good find.

Yeah, but it's only 140Wh more capacity and even with the coupon still double the price of the mini. If you need the LiFePO4 battery you might still make a case for it, but for $450 the mini is a good value proposition.

2 year warranty on mini, 5 year on delta 2. imo, the mini at this price though is still a good deal at $.51/wh. that would be comparable to getting the delta pro for $1836.

Confirmed. I don't see it anymore either. They had a 12hr or 100 units sale this morning. Ended after whichever came first. It was supposed to be $499.99, but for whatever reason it was $50 cheaper with Amazon

Edit: It's still $499 at Ecoflow website for 5 more hours. Dunno why the amazon coupon ended earlier.

The opposite actually. The downsides of LiFePo4 are pretty bad for camping use I think.

Less energy dense so the weight for the power is MUCH higher (think 50% heavier).
Performs worse in cold weather so your actual power access if it's cold will be worse than rated wattage.

Main upsides are more stable so you basically can't get the kind of runaway fires that you can get with LMNC, it's cheaper per kwh (despite being heavier).

So for camping if you go with a decent company and don't beat the shit out of it (increases fire risks, car batteries almost never catch fire and when they do it's almost always due to wrecks or physical damage to the battery sled) it's all upside compared to Lifepo4 for your use case.
