The picture on the package is a huge pile of Oreos and a giant bowl of Ice Cream.
I'd be disappointed if it didn't have at least 30g of sugar!

30 grams of sugar
20 grams of protein
"Protein" bar

Whoever(advertising/marketing?) decided to label this a protein bar, should be forced to only eat these bars.

I had a 20% off coupon on my account for the regular non-expired bars, so 15.99 - 20% = $12.80. Better option IMO for a fresher batch. But with that much sugar not sure if it matters that much, it'll taste great regardless. Still on the fence due to the amount of sugar. Use to eat these like candy in college but body isnt what it use to be, sigh

All these people saying "30 grams of sugar" are likely the same ones who don't complain when there's 2 grams of sugar and boat loads of fake sugar made in a lab like Sucralose that in a study was called "Genotoxic" which means it literally damages your DNA.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I will take 30 grams of sugar over fake sugars that have more side effects than we even know the tip of the iceberg for.

I read that article too and it sounds scary but a lot of things are genotoxic. UV rays from sunlight is genotoxic, why you get sunburned. The argument against that study was that it was not realistic, done in a pietri dish with concentrations a normal diet wouldnt see. I think both are bad and limiting both would be best, but I cant say I would pick 30g sugar over say 60mg of sucralose. I'd go sucralose as the lesser of two evils but just me hunch. You may be right too

I'm surprised how much iron is in these things. Not sure why so many foods are iron-fortified since a lot of people have high iron and it's impossible to lower it without phlebotomy.

- Appeal to authority

David Sinclair a professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School, drinks diet soda, & when asked about why he would drink that, he said the side effects from consuming sugar were worse.

He could be right, but if he is concerned about health why does he drink diet soda to begin with?

I have actually seen these studies regarding DNA and Sucralose however one thing being bad doesn't make the other thing good.

News flash: you can have low sugar (and calories) WITHOUT sucralose. That is the point.

OMG, I must be dreaming! A person who understands that you can avoid two evils at the same time!

I think he said something about it was his one vice.
