I received this last week…it's a nice little computer. Very small and compact, solid build quality, with a great screen. Battery life is obviously not like a mac but it's still pretty good and I have no complaints…it charges quickly and the charging brick is tiny.
Contemplating returning mine for something with a discrete GPU for my future needs (picking up the ryzen version with the 3050 today to compare), but if I didn't need that I would almost certainly keep it.
You can change the variations and some have the 7745hx, etc.
I searched "thinkpad t14s gen 4 amd". Nothing came up but outside of lenovo site specs only 60 or 90hz. This slim has 120hz. I want fast display but not glossy reflective. I want FPR. Can't win with this brand.

Why would you return something that is functioning perfectly just because you didn't foresee that you'd want something with a GPU? I mean, do retailers just take used electronics back sight unseen no questions asked?

Its Slickdeals, you should know the answer to this question.

The one with the GPU went on sale after I purchased this one. Picked it up to see which is a better for my work. I don't really need a GPU, It's just a "nice to have".
Glad I got to try both as there are some differences between the two that are not immediately obvious without actually using both of them.
And yes, you can return for a full refund and no restocking fee within 30 days @ Lenovo. I think Best Buy as well. That's probably why there are so many open box units that have basically never been used.

Lmao I've been having the same experience trying to find one that fits what I'm looking for. Just keep an eye out. Some of these weren't even available when i checked last week.
The stock seems to be slowly rolling out.

They are coming. In 2025. Just like lenovo is currently selling 10th gen cpu models. Same for costco. I think asia and europe get them much earlier. I like 120hz screen but i don't want reflective gloss. I like FPR but it's not available in models that have what i want. I like matte screen but it's 60hz. Maybe 90hz if i can trust the specs for new models. 512/16 is still standard but if i want 32/1T it won't be available any time soon. By the time it's available 14th gen cpus will be announced and released, but not here. Somewhere else. I was able to buy scumsung flagships on the dates they were available in stores. I can buy some other items that are current gen. Not laptops.

Yea the chips have been delayed a lot, probably to the annoyance of everyone lol
Careful with some of their workstation models, some come with privacy guard/filter which distorts the normal screen even when off. I almost bit on a model the other day but it had that feature tucked in at the end of the detail list.

Better to have an overpowered adapter than an underpowered one.
