This depends on where in the world your Costco is but the Scoop Away is most definitely not the same product as Fresh Step. Scoop Away is far inferior.

I live in the middle of nowhere with only expensive options around. I don't like lugging 40lbs of cat litter through the store when I'm out of town picking up other things. I'll buy shipped to my door cat litter at this price. I miss the 35 lbs for 9.99 target brand they had for a long time.

Thanks.

Obviously? Lots of the deals posted here are ads, they've admitted that and don't even try to hide it anymore.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank HapShaughnessy

Common Costco deal: $12 for 42 pounds with a periodic Scoop Away coupon. Same manufacturer. Same packaging (except for the outer wrapper). I can see no difference in performance.

FYI, SD alleged "deal hunter" employees post this so-called "deal" a lot. Being paid to do so?

SD's boilerplate denial-not-denial on Trustpilot where it gets 2.2/5 stars:

"We don't allow merchants to pay to have deals posted. That said, we do look at deals merchants send to us and if they are deals we think members would really like we will post them. We also turn down lots and lots of deals as well as giving them (merchants) advice on how they can make the deal better so that it might be worthy of getting posted on Slickdeals."

Merchants don't post directly, definitely. But SD is not denying that it posts veiled ads for them with this vague carefully-wordsmithed silliness.

Costco has increased the price so this is not bad for delivered.

Really? There's no real difference according to these:

i'm accustomed to paying 20 for 40 lbs of etsy. 11.75 for 36 lbs is not a bad deal. plus, i hate going to costco.

For 42 pounds, not 37.
