You can reverse them into spreaders, but you have to tap out the roll pin on the end of the bar.

I have been hoping and praying for these to go on sale so I could save at least $2. I see that they have BLASTED my expectations at $2.20! Wow! I am giddy with the savings!

Hard disagree on the harbor freight ones, these are much higher quality. They hold tighter and the handles and releases operate better.

If you only buy one set of these yes you should probably get larger ones. However these have smaller pads and require less clearance so they are better for certain jobs depending on what you are doing.

2nd that. They are great and use mine all the time too.
If you do not need the longer ones, 4-pack of 6" are $19.99:

Just a thought, but 6" is arguably short... Not long enough for regluing furniture for example.

Consider the HF 20% coupon available this weekend; many trigger bar clamps that perform just as well, and can be had in longer sizes.

if you have applications for the 6" or just prefer IRWIN, this is a fine deal.

Thanks for posting, OP

I have this pack and use them quite often. More often than my longer clamps, but that's very dependent on what type of work you're doing with them.

These don't happen to be the reversible ones, are they?

They're not reversible. I have a set from the last sale with Ace. They're nice though, I really like them.

Just a general clamp comment. The Walmart hyper tough 4 inch clamps are usually around two dollars, and are generally pretty good for what you need 4 inch clamps for. (I have found quality control to be a bit poor on them so you want to check If the clamps hold or slide before you buy them. If they hold, buy them if they slide dumped :-))

The orange & black HF Trigger Bar Clamps are crap.

I've got a half dozen broken ones that I pull parts from

Never had an Irwin break yet, and I must have ~20 of them.
