They are fine. I have seen uglier. Plus you are using these to hold food and snacks. It is not like you are posing a family portrait with these in your hands. laugh out loud

yep, it's 8x2.1in so pretty small for salad, especially if you try to make em. We have a setup fo bowls perfect for salad, broke one, and my wife used to hate them for the shape is wedge and uneven but now they are some of her favorite for salad or pho noodle soup or udon soup, etc.

Thank you. Which bowls do you use for salad?

these are the ones we have, I'm tempted to get more as they have been used every other day for 5yrs+ and in dishwasher bottom rack no issues. Someone dropped one so we have 3 now. https://www.macys.com/shop/produc...3eEALw_wcB

If you don't mind the diamond texture, it's cheaper: https://www.walmart.com/ip/overan...JUEALw_wcB

In for one! Got these last year and I use them most days. They are perfect for cereal and soup.

We had a similar set, I think got it from Costco. We really like it, esp. its depth and shape on the top.

I bought these in store a few months back at $12.97 and like them. They may be too small and shallow for the purpose of making salads but as serving plates they are more than adequate. I don't find them ugly, either but I am old. The quality is great, although they are not lightweight and shatterproof as corelle bone china plates. But on the other hand, they don't get hot with hot food/soup inside and therefore are easier to hold/transfer.

These appear to be smaller than a Jethro Bodine cereal bowl.

We have these and they are rarely used. They are wide with low angle sides which to me makes them somewhere in between a bowl and a plate. Not good for holding cereal and not good for holding a sandwich. Its probably a good salad bowl if you are into that.
