10w30 will be fine in warmer weather. Just change it after 5-6k. Make sure to check/top off every 1k or once a month.
As long as its in a sealed container it will be fine.

This is pure conventional oil. No synthetics in it.
And please read reviews. Turns out it's not okay for a slip-n-slide

Yes it is. To meet the new SP spec it has to be now.

This particular product (Valvoline Daily Protection 10W-30 Conventional Motor Oil) has public information sheets (and MSD sheets) that show no evidence of any synthetic blend in it.
Note: Valvoline also makes a near identical named Daily Protection 10W-30 product (without the word "Conventional" in it that IS a synthetic blend.
Look at the Specs via the spec links on Valvoline's page and compare the 10W-30 link info with the specs on the 5W-30 viscosity "Daily Protection".
https://www.valvolinegl
You'll see that the 10W-30 does not mention one word about semi-synthetic or synthetic blend, while the 5W-30 does state that it's a synthetic blend.
10W-30 Spec text:
"formulated with advanced additive technology and highly refined, premium quality basestocks"
Now compare to 5W-30 Spec text: (Note: Both 10W-30 and 5W-30 are Valvoline "Daily Protection" oil)
"formulated with advanced additive technology and highly refined, premium quality synthetic blend basestocks"
I'm not saying the viscosity is what's making the difference, as the conventional vs synthetic blend difference appears to stem from the differences between the two 'similarly named' products, but one with 'Conventional' in the name & one without. Other oil sites have stated these are 2 distinctly different products... 1 conventional and one synthetic blend.
THIS deal is the product marketed as the 10W-30 Conventional product.
BTW, conventional non-syn blend can also meet the newer SP classification with the proper additives. Additives are not the same as "synthetic".
