This takes some gymnastics which people may not fully understand.

Activate the new phone by itself, create a new Tracfone/rewards account use your primary account referral code. Your new account will get 2500pts, you get 5000pts (or more). On day 61 when all points vest, unlock the new phone, and use 2500pts in the new account to buy 2GB of data leaving you 500pts. Then move this new line to your primary account, and merge services into your main line.

Summary: your main line is plus 10 months/1500 min/1500 text/3500 MB data, and you harvest 5000+pts.

Worse than before? Of course! Decent deal as is? Yep!

OPs answer to your question is wrong. You can select existing customer during activation so you can transfer your existing number and minutes to this phone. Then the plan time and the minutes/data will get merged together. I've done it many times and it works just fine.

I've had a couple of these A03s (one broke, one replacement). They're okay but the 2nd phone has a lock screen that I cannot bypass without clearing all the data. It was a real pain having to enter the code every time I wanted to use the phone. And no, there was no way I could change the security level for the lock screen.
I have ordered the Moto G 2 for $60, hopefully with a user friendly lock screen option.

In specifications Moto seems better. In real usage side by side, Samsung feels faster. Also Moto won't get anything beyond Android 12.

No i have been lucky with one account by getting sometimes 1 referral in a month but maximum 2 and still getting points but the other account just got flagged may be as they stopped giving points on it.
I think once they start changing your referral code its technically over.

I did 2 referrals within a week. Both points got removed. I'm done with their reward system.
