Closest Bomgaars is 30 miles one way, but that's also the closest town with shopping. Main shopping there is Bomgaars and Dollar General, anything else "significant" is double the distance.
My F150 isn't broken in yet, but it's hand calculating to over 22 mpg average, v8, 4x4, 3.73 rear. Gas was $3.19 last I saw. So, not that bad, and I need to go there any time I need anything anyway.

I didn't "need" it, but I keep a couple sets around, pickup, shop, garage. Smaller sets in the tractors/side by side, so I don't always have to go back for the bigger ones if I'm out doing things. And sometimes a size will be off in a bucket somewhere instead of put back. And I prefer getting separate wrench sets. Annoying thing about these case sets, I've never found one where when you open it, some sockets etc. don't pop out of their place. This one does that too. But looks solid enough.
Like you said, this one doesn't have the fillers other sets have, so, not bad.
