I got some cheapo 9.99 at Amazon and it's been surprisingly solid, use it twice a day every day for a few months, not a hiccup. It's small but very powerful two speeds. I'd guess this would be as good or better, or you could buy three cheapos for this price. There's not much to these, a linier motor with a sharp tiny blade and cup for cavitation?

Link? My sis could use these when she makes body butters. She's mixing them by hand rn

I love my stick blender. It is great for making single serve smoothies (egg, banana, powder, milk in a big glass, stick blend, done), it's great for soups (blend right in the hot cooking vessel), it's great for mixing fertilizers into hot water for the garden, it's great for whipping milk up for coffee or matcha drinks (fat free whips better than whole or 2%). Even if you have no use today you may need one for a recipe that comes up in the future.
I use mine almost daily, more than my kitchenaide blender, which is a nice blender. My stick blender is also a kitchenaide product, from a thrift store actually, and it works flawlessly after 5 years of my use, let alone the original owners.
Depends how smoothly you want stuff blended and what your alternative is.
I have a big blender but would like an immersion blender because sometimes I can't get stuff as smooth as I'd like but $30 is about as much as I'd pay for one because I can get by without it for now.

Depends on what you're using it for. Anything can purée peas for pea soup. Crushing ice for a smoothie is a tougher task.

These things shine when you're blending a big batch of something in a pot, where it would be a chore to transfer it to a blender. Soups and sauces.
If you just want drinks you might be better off with a blender.
