Any experience on their renewed 60v batteries? I just ordered a 2.0 & 4.0 prior to seeing this post, wonder if they will price match.:/

I am also curious about their renewed batteries. Maybe someone who knows will chime in?

It's their most popular line, so I would assume that it's either a website glitch, or they are revamping their lineup of 60v stuff.

I wonder if I should buy some to retrofit in my Snapper 60v cases. I have 2 4ah, 3 2ah, and 1 2.5a h battery that have been pretty good. I saw that the Greenworks cases can be modified to fit Snapper 60v.

My original battery was dying in the first year. Company was no help. They had me cut the grass and take a video of the whole cut. And yet they still denied my claim. I sent from being able to do my front and back with 1 bar remaining to having it stop halfway. Few months later I couldn't even get that long.

Picked up a knock off from Amazon. First one had the same issue. Seller sent a free replacement and now I'm back in business.

I'm not suggesting to skip on the renewed batteries. Just know they're not going to stand by their warranty. I plan to take my other 2 apart and see if I can repair them.

I had a 24v 4Ah die around a year also. Their warranty registration process was extremely frustrating. They wanted a model number, but it didn't show on my order. When you click the order in the email, it takes you to an order LOOK UP page, that requires a login. Even then it didn't give me the model because the product page was missing.

After taking forever to register (why was more than the serial even needed), I never even got a response that it's registered.

It's quite clear they don't want you using the warranty they prominently plaster all over every page.

Agree greenworks customer service and warranty sucks. I had an 80v snow blower. Worked for 10 minutes then spent 1.5 years (not joking) In a repair shop waiting for parts. This was pre COVID. Terrible terrible. I have an 80v battery that wont work now (charge). It's 3 years old so I'm sol. Stay away. Buyer beware etc

Ended up getting it anyway. These batteries are usually around $60 each.

This is a bit of a niche use case but if anyone is into ice fishing and owns one of the Strikemaster 24v electric augers, these batteries are easily modified to work in the 24v augers. Way cheaper than the strikemaster branded ones.

I've had good luck too but finally this year my 2016 Snapper 2.5ah gave up the ghost and says charged but stops the mower after 3 seconds of pushing it. Looking at these batteries I'm wondering if you even need to mod them as the guides look identical to me. I wish I'd been quicker and tried a refurb but I might buy another one to try in the Snapper line too.
