I loved both 7 and 8. No reason to choose between this and the 4 Remake. Play both!

I love everything about this game but that one doll castle is the only reason holding me back to replay the game.

It has to be said - if you liked the story from RE7 I'd recommend not playing this, or stopping after Tall Mum's section. Since VIIIage also...borrows heavily from RE4 you might be better served just going with the REmake instead.

$12 is a good price, and the visuals are great, but the story is definitely a step backwards imo - again, if you actually liked what they did with RE7 you could do worse than passing on this...

This game runs spectacular on the Deck. 60 FPS with medium settings with 2-3 hours battery life.

Does this have the 3rd person view or is that only on the Gold version?

Only reason I don't like this game is because of the ending I hate when games end a certain way.

PC game sales are so out of whack, compared to 10+ years ago.

There is one story DLC that imo was just kinda meh, but if you want to play 3rd person that's locked behind the DLC. If you're fine with 1st person I'd probably skip the DLC on this one.

That is locked behind the DLC/Gold edition.
