omg! tool only with battery (no charger) is $128!!!
was looking at the cheaper off-brand replacement batteries, but according to the reviews you know the say 'you get what you pay for'
The price for aerating the soil and losing up tough soil seems good, I just wonder how long the battery on it lasts and how long it would take compared to one of the large ones that you use to mow through the garden with. This would definitely be way better than doing it manually with garden tools, and would cut the time exponential against that. I think it might be worth it for really small gardens to make quick work on tough soil.
i checked if ryobi/hart had anything, closest is this for $195

Maybe it's the type of soil I got but I would go with a tiller of different design instead of the horizontal rotary, go with the more standard vertical rotary version. The problem I had it would get clogged up with weeds and soil in a few turn then I had to dug it out again.
There's also the problem of number of tools for this battery line. I would go with either Ryobi or Greenwork if you want the maximum amount of tools compatible with the battery.
