This was released on September 22, 2021. The current version Surface Pro 9 was released in 2022.

Great price for the Surface pro 8. The 8gb Ram is the dealbreaker for me.

Solid deal. This is a great device & worth it over the new model. You can upgrade the HD on this one as well. I added a 512 GB that I picked up on ebay for $40.

IMHO, 16gb is a must.
did u notice a significant slow down or lag after your 8gb of ram is nearly used up? Apple devices have so little ram and still run okay

I have a Surface Pro 7+ with 11th Gen i7, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. I upgraded from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro and the machine was much snappier. I had something similar happen to my HP desktop, also i7, 32GB RAM. Maybe the key to speed with Windows 11 is 32GB of RAM?

what about your battery time/life...cuz i noticed that win 11 run the cpu clock more aggressive/stay at higher Ghz longer than win10.

Since it's my portable, and not my primary PC, I can only guess at total battery life. It doesn't have any problems with heavy use for six hours.
