Get this stuff for one reason..the best Alfredo ever. When you make your roux you mix half flour and half of the crappy parmesan, slowly whisking both in. It toasts the parmesan and adds an amazing flavor, and it's a hit every time.
If you tell my mother I shared this you'll be sleeping with the fishes, or maybe I will.

honestly don't understand what the hate is, this tastes good on pizza "shrug", i like it on spaghetti "shrug"
i know the real thing is better, but its also more expensive / but yea if you have a sams club membership this isn't a deal.... still more expensive than the containers you can get from there

We use the fake parm in a shaker from time to time when we are lazy. Fresh, grated Parm or Romano (Aldi or Costco has decent ones) is significantly better. If you are taking the time to make Alfredo sauce from scratch (and it IS worth it), then grate some fresh cheese. OXO makes a very nice grater/zester for cheap.

I watch many of my friends cook and I'm like, wtf are you doing? I take for granted that my grandmother and parents are good cooks and we ate at home at least 6 nights a week.
